Greetings. I hope you are well. I had intended to send a letter earlier, but I heard that it was inconvenient for you, so I did not send it. Even now, I have not given up hope. Although I have no intention of letting Gyalkhar Tse (Gyalhkar Tse) go unconditionally, I have not been able to act quickly due to limited mobility. It seems that it will take another month or two, but ultimately there should be no problems. In general, when it comes to worldly affairs, there is no need to even mention the next life. It is clear that there is no meaning in this life either. If there were meaning, then even having experienced health, power, retinue, and wealth before the age of seventy, now that I am in this state, none of those things are helpful, but rather harmful. Therefore, the next life is even more distant, the ocean of samsara is boundless, and one must personally experience the results of good and bad karma. Whether you are there or come back, there is not much time left in this life. Therefore, now, please let go of the general selfishness and self-grasping, especially the attachment to this life. Not having accumulated serious sins from August of last year until now should be considered the grace of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. With firm faith in the Guru and the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, take refuge many times. After that, from beginningless time, the immeasurable suffering of samsara that has been experienced is all due to self-grasping. Think that all sentient beings, as boundless as the sky, are kind parents, thereby overcoming self-grasping, and think of repaying their kindness. There is no other way, so contemplate from the depths of your heart: may all the evil causes and painful results of all sentient beings ripen upon me; may all my virtues and happiness ripen upon all sentient beings. Contemplating this is both easy and the essence of Mahayana Dharma. This is also the Dharma that Jowo Je (Atisha) only transmitted to Dromtonpa. Nagarjuna said, 'May I bear their sins, and may all their merits accrue to me.' Shantideva said, 'If one does not exchange one's own happiness for the suffering of others, one will not only fail to attain Buddhahood, but will also have no happiness in samsara.' The great accomplished master Birupa also said, 'May the suffering of all sentient beings ripen upon me, and may my happiness enable them to attain happiness.' This is also the essence of practice. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please allow me to serve as your assistant. Since you are both a doctor and reside in the same place, there has been no correspondence. Please allow me to report here. This time, I have offered you a cup of tea, a bowl of yogurt, and a piece of brown sugar through Chung Trumba (person's name), hoping you will enjoy it. Written on the 28th of the fourth month of the Snake year from Ewam (temple name). Last year, upon returning from U-Tsang (place name), if half of all possessions had been used for charity, perhaps this situation could have been avoided, but at that time there was no opportunity to advise. Please keep these requests in mind. This is advice to Yungpa (person's name). Auspicious! Auspicious! This is advice to Yungpa (person's name). Auspicious! Auspicious! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
