The seventh method of guiding is: adding 'la' at the end of 'ga', and so on. The Tibetan method of guiding is: adding 'kye' at the beginning of any name. In addition, these three genders (referring to masculine, feminine, and neuter) can guide nine different usages, such as retraction, etc., in accordance with their respective genders. Retraction refers to adding 'o' to the end of the ten post-suffixes, such as 'zhag go', and so on. The remainder refers to 'ste' which is directly indicated, and 'de', 'nas', 'cing', etc., which are indirectly indicated. Opening and closing refers to adding 'ma' to the ten post-suffixes, such as ''dzeg gam'', ''ong ngam'', and so on. Addition refers to limitation, including 'ni' which is directly indicated, and 'kho na nyid', 'na', etc., which are indirectly indicated. If the word ending is 'na', then 'ni' is used for limitation, and if it is a different thing, then 'ni' is used. Possessive: For example, 'mkhyen pa', because it is masculine, a masculine letter is added; 'gsum pa', although it is feminine, also has a masculine letter added, these two cases. Negation: In the case where the word ending is a masculine letter, a feminine letter is added, such as 'ma rig pa med', meaning 'ignorance'. If there is only a feminine letter, such as 'reg bya', and so on. Affirmation: 'gyur', 'yin', 'yod', etc., are in accordance with the gender of the word ending. Rhetorical embellishment: 'sa ri' means 'completely', 'a nu' means 'subsequently', and so on. Guiding the application of time: For example, 'de'i tshe', meaning 'at that time', is used for both past and future tenses. These are all guided by the momentum of the previous text, that is, the seven cases (including the vocative) and the nine usages such as retraction are all guided by the momentum of the previous letter, thus revealing their respective essence. Incidentally, explaining the key to Sanskrit-Tibetan translation: The second part is: 'Which of these applies?' and five and a half stanzas. When translators are translating, they need to examine which of the above-mentioned details apply. In Sanskrit, most things that have a limiting nature have a suffix added to the end of the limiting word. Therefore, it should be understood from the meaning of the word that is the basis of the limiting word. So what should be understood? Generally speaking, the generalities, etc., should be understood. Generality, such as 'gang', meaning 'what'. The instrumental case is the third case, the dative case is the fourth case, the locative case is the seventh case, the accusative case is the second case, and the ablative case is the fifth case. According to these, the sixth case and the first case can also be understood. In Tibetan, the limiting things that should be placed before the limiting word are also the same in Sanskrit. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Furthermore, the meaning of 'word meaning' and the other three aspects is: If any word that can be used flexibly appears, do not limit it to one aspect, but make it universally applicable. Words that belong to categories, because there is repetition, if they are not distinguished, can be used freely; if they are distinguished, they should be used according to their respective designations. The meaning of 'masculine sound' and so on is: In Sanskrit, for those words that can have multiple meanings, if it is not known which meaning it specifically refers to, one should examine whether the word ending has masculine, feminine, or neuter markers to determine the meaning it refers to. For those words that express meaning through rhetoric, if the rhetoric helps to understand the meaning, it should be translated; if it does not help, it should not be translated. In Sanskrit, for those parts that need to be supplemented, words like 'ཏེ་' should be added; if not, there is no need to add them. In Sanskrit, if the word meaning is complete, then in Tibetan, the word meaning should also be complete; if not, there is no need to make it complete. These are translation instructions given to translators. The fourth part is: the six verses beginning with 'Why'. If someone asks, what is the purpose of the post-suffixes (རྗེས་འཇུག, Tibetan grammatical term, referring to consonant letters after the root of a word)? Why are they added? Then, the following three lines ('From within the letters' etc.) explain the reason for adding them. They are added for this purpose. If there are no feminine letters (མོའི་ཡི་གེ, Tibetan grammatical term, referring to vowel letters) - the four vowel letters, then masculine letters (ཕོ་ཡིག, Tibetan grammatical term, referring to consonant letters) cannot be pronounced. As it is said in the 'Stainless Glory Sutra', without vowel letters, the consonant letter 'ཀ' cannot be pronounced. For those masculine letters that have incorporated feminine letters as their life force, if there is not any one of the ten prefixes or suffixes, names and words cannot be clearly expressed; and if there are no names and words, meanings cannot be expressed. If this happens, then worldly expressions, i.e., worldly treatises; Vedic statements, i.e., treatises of outsiders (ཕྱི་རོལ་པ, referring to non-Buddhist Hindu sects); and the Buddha's words (བཀའ, referring to the Buddha's teachings) and commentaries (དགོངས་འགྲེལ, referring to explanations of the Buddha's words) that explain the three vehicles (ཐེག་པ་གསུམ, referring to the Hearer Vehicle, Solitary Realizer Vehicle, and Bodhisattva Vehicle) of the inner path (ནང་པ, referring to Buddhism) will cease to exist, because there are no names and words to express meanings. If someone says that even without these, people can understand these meanings, that is not correct. Just as sentient beings in the world, without someone to teach them, cannot understand the aggregates, elements, and sources (ཕུང་ཁམས་སྐྱེ་མཆེད, Buddhist terms, referring to the elements that constitute individual existence) that they possess and the tenets (གྲུབ་མཐའ, referring to philosophical or religious schools) that they do not possess. Even if the rules of prefixes and suffixes exist in everyone's mind, they cannot understand the true nature of the object of expression through its own nature. If one does not study the meaning and combine it in accordance with the meaning, how can one understand? Therefore, in order to avoid the above-mentioned errors, therefore, the lord of speech (སྨྲ་བའི་དབང་ཕྱུག, referring to Manjushri)... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
