A Compilation of the Stages of Transference: Swift Liberation Upon Encountering. A Compilation of the Stages of Transference: Swift Liberation Upon Encountering. The Profound Path of Transference from the Collected Teachings (Ka-dü), A Compilation of the Stages of Transference: Swift Liberation Upon Encountering, is hereby presented. Namo Guru Amitābhāya (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,guru amitābha,上师无量光). From the source of Dharma, through aspiration and prayer, The splendor of the Pure Land of Great Bliss is truly manifest, The embodiment of the Three Kayas, Infinite Light, Inseparably, may the supreme Lama protect with love. In the terrifying mire of suffering samsara, Bound by the inescapable threads of karma, Liberating from this, bestowing the state of supreme joy and bliss, The extraordinary path of transference is a wondrous Dharma. Even without practice, forcibly, Manifesting enlightenment is the Dharma of liberation, Compiling the essence of the profound nine excellences, The stages of Swift Liberation Upon Encountering are enacted. Here, the venerable Lamas of the three times, possessing the lineage, through the profound and supreme means of accomplishing vast deeds for the benefit of others, Even the most heinous sinners, not allowing them to be subject to the power of karma and its maturation, but forcibly causing them to attain Buddhahood through the path of the opened upper gate, the quintessential swift path of transference, desiring to practice this profound Dharma, Firstly, in connection with the practice of the common and uncommon preliminaries, or at other times as well, having thoroughly trained and ripened the key points of this profound Dharma oneself, Actually, fainting, absorption, and the experiences of appearance and increase vaguely arise, The disturbances of wind and thoughts diminish, Focus is clear, The manifestation of the radiance of awareness increases, The head aches hollowly and feels hot, The Brahma-hole swells and pus oozes out, The hair on the crown moves and itches, In dreams, one ascends stairs, Goes upwards, Reaches a high place, And goes to a place of ease and joy, etc., If such signs repeatedly occur, then one should develop unwavering conviction and certainty in the signs. Then, when the time is right, There is the superior transference of expanding the view of the Dharmakaya, the intermediate transference of the union of generation and completion of the Sambhogakaya, and the inferior transference of planting the immeasurable compassion of the Nirmanakaya. Among these three, the first two, and the latter also have methods of transference by oneself and by others.

In either case, temporarily setting aside the clear guidance of self-performed transference of consciousness (Tibetan: འཕོ་བ, Wylie: 'pho ba) at the time of death, here is the method of performing transference by others. In this case, when signs of the definite arrival of the time of death appear, and if there is enough time, it is said that through the empowerment of secret mantra, with pure vows and commitments, one will be reborn well after death, thereby being liberated from the lower realms, and it is considered a great merit. If that is not the case, if the consciousness is slightly clear and the body allows, then have them practice the tantric exercises described below. If that cannot be done either, gently call their name and say: "The Protector Amitabha (Tibetan: མགོན་པོ་འོད་དཔག་མེད) is dwelling on the crown of your head. Generate devotion!" While reciting, touch the crown of their head and gently pull the hair at the fontanelle, so that the consciousness emerges from the fontanelle. Recite the name of the Buddha Ratnaketu (Tibetan: སངས་རྒྱས་རིན་ཆེན་གཙུག་ཏོར་ཅན) and the name of the Medicine Buddha (Tibetan: སྨན་བླ) and so on. If that time has passed, then perform the transference of consciousness for any deceased person, generally and specifically targeting the beings of the bardo and the lower realms. So, how is the transference performed? There are three parts: preparation, main practice, and conclusion. First, the preparation stage has six steps: visualizing oneself as the deity, generating the support and inviting, purifying the object, introducing, practicing the tantra, and offering food. First, visualizing oneself as the deity: In order to generate love and compassion in one's own mindstream and be able to benefit others, one should practice the meditation on Great Compassion, reciting the ritual, whether it is extensive or concise, until rising from the meditation session as the deity. Second, generating the support and inviting and dissolving the consciousness: For the corpse that has not been dead for a few days, or elsewhere for the clothes, bones, or nameplate, visualize. Through རཾ་(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, meaning: fire), ཡཾ་(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: यं, Sanskrit Romanization: yaṃ, meaning: wind), ཁཾ་(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: खं, Sanskrit Romanization: khaṃ, meaning: space), burn, destroy, and wash away the impure delusions with the fire, wind, and water of wisdom. Through སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: स्वभाव, Sanskrit Romanization: svabhāva, meaning: nature) purify it into emptiness. The support in front appears unattainable, transforming into emptiness. From within emptiness, in the center of an eight-petaled white lotus, on top of a moon mandala, from the complete transformation of the syllable ནྲྀ་(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, meaning: great compassion), visualize those beings who have passed away or have not passed away from this world to the other, appearing in their youthful and beautiful form as when they were alive, dressed in white clothes, with their body, speech, and mind peaceful and subdued, possessing faith in taking refuge in the Three Jewels and the lama, merging into the mandala of Great Compassion. Meditate in this way. Then,
