For the purpose of exhausting the elements of the five winds in their own places, which are the branches of the wisdom of cessation that gives rise to non-conceptualization, and the four meditations of the great scholar Vimalamitra's oral instructions, one meditates on the red A-kāra stacked fivefold, fourfold, the green threefold, the yellow twofold, and the single blue one in sequence. Thus, the A-kāra abides in the unborn, thereby purifying the fire of discursive thought, the experience of bliss and emptiness as water, the wind of memory and conceptualization, memory and intimacy resembling earth, and the nature of abandoning intimacy with its parts. As it says in "The Lamp That Illuminates": "The oral instructions for meditation are like a sequence, obtaining the sequence of union day and night." And as it says in "The Essence of Profound Meaning": "Practice with bindu in the morning and evening, practice with a string of beads during the day." And: "The three kāyas—nirmāṇakāya, saṃbhogakāya, and dharmakāya—in the evening, midnight, and dawn, combine in sequence with the three objects of focus. Thus, by striving day and night, one will undoubtedly be liberated." Furthermore, if one wishes, it is said that one should also train in the seven-limbed posture and the four ways of looking at these times. The postures are: "Garuda, tiger vomiting, person, fox, vulture, giant, and crocodile—these are the seven key points of the body." Among these, the Garuda posture is: bring the soles of the feet together, straighten the body upright, place the two vajra fists on the thighs, bend the neck slightly, and look at the space between the eyebrows. The tiger vomiting posture is: the feet as before, the vajra fists placed at the secret place, pull the back of the neck, bend the throat, and roll the eyes between the eyebrows, looking straight ahead. The person's posture is: squat the body, embrace the knees between the two hands, lift the neck slightly, and look straight up at the sky. The fox's posture is: the legs like a straight person, the vajra fists placed on the two sides, stretch and pull the shoulders, straighten the spine, and lead the eyes slightly closed to the corners of the left and right. The vulture's posture is: the vajra posture of the legs slightly extended forward, the fists placed at the base of the hip joints, straighten the spine, pull the back of the neck, and look at the two corners with very closed eyes, leading them in a swaying manner. The giant's posture is: place the elbows on the thighs of the lotus posture, lift the two hands to the cheeks, straighten the spine greatly, and rock the eyes up and down with closed eyes.

It leads to the left sky. As for the crocodile posture: sit in the lotus position, with hands covering the knees. Straighten the body, slightly raise the neck, guide the corner of the eye to the right, and watch and meditate with eyes half-closed. These are because of looking south from a high place where the sky is wide. The ways of looking are: like a lion, an ox, a rabbit, and an arrow, there are four ways of looking. Yogis look during the daytime. Like a lion, turn the eyes upward; like an elephant, look slightly downward; like a rabbit, look wide-eyed in fright; like an arrow, look straight to the side. Through opening wide, half-closing, and slightly closing, look upward, downward, to the right, to the left, and straight ahead, whichever is comfortable, and awareness should not be separated from the Vajra chain.
