Uncommon Introduction. Uncommon Introduction. Introducing on the Ground of Reality View. Introducing into the Discursive Mind. Secondly, the uncommon introductions are threefold: introducing on the ground of view, introducing on the ground of meditation, and introducing on the ground of sudden breakthrough. First, introducing on the ground of reality view. In the pith instructions, it says: "Then, introduce into the discursive mind, introduce into the emptiness of mind, introduce into the appearance of emptiness, introduce into the inseparability of appearance and emptiness, introduce into the self-liberation of inseparability." There are five in total. First, introducing into the discursive mind: Like this, all the phenomena of objects of grasping that appear in various ways, although they are all grasped separately by discursive thoughts as 'this is this, and that is that,' even though the single ground itself appears as countless differences from different beings, and even the same person appears as different enemies, friends, and neutrals due to different discursive thoughts. All phenomena are like dream appearances, merely the illusion of discursive thoughts, and there is no truly established existence outside. Therefore, no matter how the discursive thoughts of object and subject arise, they are all created by the mind, and do not move from the mind itself. And the nature of the mind is not seen, not seen, and will not be seen even by the Buddhas of the three times. Therefore, the discursive thoughts that represent its characteristics are not separate from this clear arising. By introducing in this way, one will be certain that the various discursive thoughts of object and subject are inseparable. As the Tantra of Clear Space says: "The mind's memory, thought, and wisdom power, all that transforms into appearance and knowledge, do not deviate from the nature of awareness." Similarly, the Vajra Tent Tantra also says: "Apart from the precious mind, there are no Buddhas and no sentient beings." Introducing the mind itself as emptiness. Introducing into the Emptiness of Mind. Secondly, introducing into the emptiness of mind: That mind itself is primordially free from the eight extremes of elaboration, such as birth and death, permanence and annihilation, coming and going, one and many, and is not established as 'this' in any place, nor can it be symbolized by anything. Therefore, it is certain that the mind itself is emptiness. By introducing in this way, one will gain certainty that transcends the intellect of thought and is separate from the words of expression. As Clear Space says: "When looking back at the very act of moving, without abandoning, self-liberation is like a dewdrop."

From 'Infinite Bliss': The nature of mind, without root, cannot be found by searching, without any grasp. In such a state of emptiness, as it is, primordially, is the self-arisen wisdom beyond expression. Thus it is said.

Thereby, self-liberation occurs. Since there is no essence, cease striving. The very nature is primordially liberated. Thus, in the "Subtle Arrangement" it is said: The unobstructed potential appears as anything. From the very moment of appearance, it is liberated in its own place. Liberation cannot be expressed merely by saying 'liberation'. Likewise, what is not liberated? Thus, the perfectly enlightened one is self-awareness itself. Its essence does not change in the three times. Its nature is perpetually unceasing. Compassion is the self-appearance to all. Thus it is said. In short, although the mind is delusion and conceptual thought, if one recognizes the nature of delusion, it is awareness. Since the nature of delusion and conceptual thought is not established as delusion, it is emptiness, and since the essence of awareness is not annihilation, it is luminosity. From the radiance of self-awareness, whatever arises is unceasing, and having realized that the play of self-appearance, the various appearances and emptiness are inseparable, the awareness of whatever arises is the nature beyond bondage and liberation. In the realm of primordial purity, free from elaboration, self-liberation is the ultimate state beyond the object of meditation and the meditator, which is recognized through the view.
