First, the common one, in the elaboration of the introduction, it says: Emaho! By introducing appearances as mind, the mind is absorbed into mind itself. By introducing mind itself as emptiness, emptiness increases as bliss. By introducing emptiness as rigpa, rigpa itself, being non-dual with the expanse, is the very Dharmakaya. Therefore, for those to be tamed by this Dharma, those who have faith but whose consciousness is obscured, initially, by introducing appearances as made by the mind, the self-sustaining clinging to reality is reversed. By introducing the mind that makes things as empty, attachment to objects is abandoned. By introducing emptiness as rigpa, guiding them by focusing on the key point of not misunderstanding the nature of reality as annihilation, this is common to other fruition vehicles and is not the actual means of liberation in this path. As it says in 'Self-Arisen': 'Appearances are the yoga of the mind; all arise from my mind. If one realizes the nature of mind, what else is there to do? In the 'Meaning Instructions,' it says: 'Then, introduce discrimination as mind, introduce mind as emptiness, introduce emptiness as appearance, introduce appearance and emptiness as non-dual, and introduce non-duality as self-liberation.' Thus, there are five. First, introducing discrimination as mind: Like this, whatever appears as various objects of grasping, all phenomena are grasped separately by discrimination as 'this' and 'that.' Even though the basis is one, it appears as countless differences to different beings. And even to one person, different discriminations cause enemies, friends, and neutrals to appear differently. All objects are like dream appearances, merely illusions of discrimination, and there is no truly established existence outside.

The essence is that the Buddhas of the three times, past, present, and future, have not seen, do not see, and will not see. So, to express its nature, there is nothing other than this clearly arising conceptual thought. Having introduced it in this way, one can ascertain that the various subject-object conceptual thoughts are inseparable from the essence. As it says in the Gyü Longsal: 'The mind's memory and thought are the talent of intelligence; all that appears and is known is transformed into purity, inseparable from the nature of intelligence.' Similarly, in the Vajra Tent Tantra, it is said: 'Outside of the precious mind, there is neither Buddha nor sentient being.' Thus it is said. Introducing the nature of mind as emptiness.
