而且,分别念由分别念生起,存在本身由存在平息。犹如水进入耳朵,用水才能引出。同样,对事物的分别念,也应以确定之见加以净化。如是说。

Moreover, conceptualization arises from conceptualization, and existence is pacified by existence itself. Just as water enters the ear, it is drawn out by other water. Similarly, conceptualization of things should also be purified by definitive understanding. Thus it is said.

Dragons and Yakshas and, Gandharvas Kumbhandas Entering Everywhere, Of speech, good and bad differences are spoken. In short, the speech of the six realms of beings, The mind remembers and thinks, the speech speaks. Thus it is said. In the lineage of a single son of the Buddha, Joy and displeasure, happiness and suffering, Permanence and impermanence, and so on, The thoughts of view, meditation, and conduct, And Dharma and non-Dharma, and so on, And desire, hatred, and delusion, And virtue and non-virtue, and so on, Various kinds of thoughts and actions are performed. Thus it is said, the body bears the heat and cold of hell beings, The hunger and thirst of pretas, The exploitation of animals, The fighting of asuras, The suffering of the fall of gods, and so on, are placed upon one's own continuum, and the various expressions and actions of each of the six realms, And from the way of first generating the mind of enlightenment, becoming a Buddha and teaching the Dharma, And the way of acting between passing into nirvana and the teaching remaining, And the various actions of the assembly of disciples with lineage, and also running and jumping, Walking and sitting, Limbs extending and contracting, Curling and pulling, and so on, various illusion wheels, Trembling, dancing, jumping, Peaceful and wrathful postures, The play of song, dance, and music, and so on, whatever actions come to mind are performed, causing weariness and fatigue. The voice speaks the sounds of hell beings, A-tsa-tsa, A-chu-chu, A-na-na, Kye-hud, and so on, And the pretas say, "I am hungry, I am cold, I am thirsty, I have nothing," and so on, And the animals say, "U, wu, moo, va, am," and so on, And the crying of humans, And lamentations, words of sorrow, and so on, And the shouting of asuras, "Cut, chop, hit, stab," and so on, And the songs and dances of gods, and so on, At the end of joyful words, "The tree is dry, The spring is dry, Where has my friend gone? The horse is dead, The cow is lost, Do I smell a bad odor? If I die, will I fall into the lower realms?" Kye-hud, and so on, the various sounds and voices of each of the six realms, And the sounds of the four elements, And the words of Dharma, such as teaching and debate, And the peaceful and wrathful mantras, the vajra song, And fierce laughter, Hum Hum Phat Phat, and so on, various loud noises and expressions of speech are proclaimed and practiced.

Whether it is permanence or impermanence, etc., for any thoughts of good and non-good, one must forcefully initiate and gather various kinds of thoughts, thereby becoming thoroughly weary. In particular, from beginningless time, one has taken countless births, and with each body, one has experienced the suffering of the six realms' respective forms and behaviors, which is inconceivable. The sound uttered by speech also becomes the cause and condition for dualistic grasping. This mind, if recognized, is no different from the mind of the Buddha, but due to being dominated by ignorance, it wanders in samsara. Even though one endures so much suffering as a result of cause and effect, it is all completely meaningless. This immense delusion is due to not distinguishing between samsara and nirvana. Now, one must resolve to make a distinction (ru shan) and no longer wander in samsara. When the three doors (body, speech, and mind) show signs of fatigue and weariness, one should look at the nature of awareness (rjes shes) and rest. By doing this repeatedly, one will develop a feeling of having no body, as well as non-attachment to the body, no negation and affirmation, no heat and cold, no sickness, no suffering of hunger and thirst, etc. This is a sign that the body has distinguished (ru shan) between samsara and nirvana. The sign of speech is that one gains understanding of the guru's instructions, without deliberately clinging to the meaning of the words, but rather naturally arising wisdom from meditation, thereby easily understanding the meaning of the words of the instructions. This is a sign that speech has distinguished (ru shan). The sign of mind is that it is clear and bright, without delusion, and one develops interest in the instructions, enjoys the experience, and arises happiness, etc. This is a sign that the mind has distinguished (ru shan). Like this, until the signs of the three doors each distinguishing (ru shan) appear, one should continue for seven days or eleven days, half a month, etc., and repeat again and again.
