La eight eight. The latter others are all light. Water treasure wealth transforms, extending the steps, That is said to be the play of the bodiless. Each petal has ten, ten, and ten lights, Arranged to make the final heavy one clear and beautiful. Without mixture, not the beginning of itself, Pha separated, tsa da ka da ka. Tsa three dza ga is called a section, The latter equal meters and so on. The types of meters have been explained. In the beginning of the meter, everything is heavy, With heavy as the main, the following lights are the same. Heavy in the beginning, this is the expansion, As long as everything is light, that's it. Combinations are doubled separately, Long strings have heavy on top and light on the bottom. Doubled heavy and light combinations, Each expands in sequence. What is this like, what is this like, Therefore, do not exceed the result of that arrangement. One with unequal heavy petals, Here equal, also the result is loss. On top, one, etc., in sequence, Doubled and written above the light. Adding one and this together, This is called the revelation method. The form is raised by the number of letters, The same is placed on top. The rising ones are gradually shortened, Meters are also without one, etc. Although the form was not made at the beginning, Whatever is written above resides from there below. The respective ones residing below are mixed equally, Meters are also without one, etc. The form of the number of meters, Transformed into the number of pairs of letters. The end of the revelation method, The action of doubling the light is collected. The number itself is transformed by letters, Then half of that, then both are added. In the beginning, the letter is heavy and light in the middle, From there, the latter ones are like that. The letter is transformed by two meters, One less, adha string and below. The place of heavy and light, And the middle is also the same there. The expansion of equal meters, All six of the understandings have been explained. Each meter or type, Heavy and light letters, the latter ones, etc. The number is what the knower says, For example, these two verses are spoken. Whatever is supreme and whatever is sacred meaning, Without remainder, truly realizing cause and effect. Whatever beings are born there, May the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha be victorious. Victorious is the Victorious One within the Victorious Dharma, The co-emergent mother of that one, wisdom, Also, those born from seeds surpassing the two, Also the assembly of embodied noble ones.

May it be auspicious! Discard the letters of the light sounds, discard the light sounds of the vowels. Also discard the vowels of the letters that have been discarded, as many of them as there are here are heavy sounds, the number of heavy sounds. The vowel that is twice the heavy sound, filled with twice the letter sound. As many letters as are without heavy sounds, as many of them as there are here are light sounds, the number of light sounds. As many as there are light sounds in total, as many vowels as there are without heavy sounds. As many vowels as there are light sounds in total, so many letters are here, the number of letters. Heavy sounds doubled mixed with light sounds, letter sounds doubled all light sounds are discarded. As many letters as are mixed with heavy sounds, as many of them as there are here are vowels, the number of vowels. To the wisdom of the Victorious One I have faith, whatever merit is born to me, by this may all beings in the supreme path and, in the supreme wisdom have extreme faith! The treatise called Poetics Ratnakara, composed by the feet of the all-knowing Ratnakara Shanti of the time of strife, is complete. This, together with its auto-commentary, was translated three times by Chöden Repa, Yarlungpa Drakpa Gyaltsen, and the great translator Gyatséwa, and finally, the root of the translation, along with the examples and reasons shown, was corrected and translated by the translator Namkha Zangpo. It seems that the number of letters in each chapter of poetics has been made into something very uncomfortable in Tibetan. In Tibetan, since poetics has been destroyed, just as the order of heavy and light sounds is no longer needed, the number of letters is also no longer needed. Since the examples shown in the sutras are done in the Chinese way, in order to be easy to understand and grasp in Tibet, it was translated by Taktsangpa Sherab Rinchen. Treatise called Poetics Ratnakara, Ratnakara Shanti.
