The lustful, plump with youth, will show graceful gestures. From peaceful beings, terror may not necessarily arise. From the white tip of a candle, why wouldn't black smoke emerge? The occurrence of terror is not absolute; a great terrifying form, why couldn't it transform into peace? For those who dislike the water of merit, extinguishing the flames of beings is not a fault. Light alone can dispel darkness, or is it darkness itself? Whatever accomplishment a fool achieves is like a crow obtaining a palm fruit. After worms have eaten away at trees, letters appear by chance. People endowed with merit mostly decline due to need. Even a parrot that speaks clearly is guarded by a cage. Even enemies who are difficult to subdue are easier to approach than beings who are extremely difficult to tame. A drop of water that falls into the ocean cannot be dried by the sun. Either complete what you have started, or do not start; do not attempt lightly. Either thunder descends and destroys everything, or it does not descend at all. Even for the wise, fools cannot distinguish between merit and fault. For a blind person, there is no difference between light and darkness. Beings are despised for harm, and rain always falls with the same taste. If it falls on poison, it turns into poison; if it falls on a conch shell, it turns into a pearl. Fools are mostly stubborn, but the wise are not. Who but a child would grasp at the reflection of the moon in water? Because of slight disagreements, narrow-minded people become even more angry. Even a speck of dust blown by the wind can scatter very far. To those with merit, the unruly inflict various oppressions and insults. Grass and wood float on the river, but not precious jewels. The wise can rise from decline, but the mediocre cannot. Sharabha breathes in and drinks the water from the well. Beings become weary of virtues they have long been familiar with. After drinking very clean water, they completely abandon it. Without skillful means, even saints cannot accomplish their goals. A person who draws a bow crookedly cannot hit a straight target. 身居高位之故， 低洼之处亦视若平地。 有者虽无功德眷属绕， 贤者不舍眷属之围绕。 如月半之时， 与晕轮一同生灭。 大士纵遇衰败时， 其力艺亦非同寻常。 阿迦如木若以火焚烧， 其香味亦非同寻常。 大士纵有微小过， 庸人之过亦非如此。 如月亮盈满之时， 晕轮显现于圆月时分。 贫弱无力的庸人等， 于他人处勤勉行事时， 虽不能自断以磨刀石， 然能使斧头锋利。 愚昧之人观他人， 远处之过失而不观己过。 眼不能见自身之过， 却能觉察月亮之晕轮。 无生且珍贵， 无垢且坚固，乐于分别之， 如燃烧之宝珠般的贤者， 不会因微小之事而改变。 天性短浅且轻浮， 难满足，无惭愧，心胸狭隘之， 恶人断绝友谊之心。 空中之火为风所助燃。 利益之种子于贤者处， 播种生长，非于不驯服之盐碱地。 芝麻油滴虽小之时， 于水中易散，于沙上则否。 智者断绝敌人之性命， 不智者则伤其肢体。 狮子发怒则杀人， 狗发怒则追逐石头。 以财富利益之锋芒， 轻浮之心无法温暖。 苍蝇可被蜘蛛网所缚， 蚂蟥无法制服大象。 众多触摸亦不能忍受之， 光芒四射吉祥之月亮， 若生起一丝过失之尘埃， 则与百种功德相等同。 恶人以虚伪之生活， 伺机寻找，加害于他人。 手行者以风为食， 亦不放弃加害于他人。 不驯之人以恶劣之行径， 强加罪名，极尽伤害。 蜘蛛于空中结网后， 捕捉并杀害苍蝇。 地方之毒素使城市之人， 天性邪恶，有何不可为？ 腐肉之臭味， 饥饿之狗有何不取？ 于正直无欺之贤者， 恶人更加以伤害。 莲花未曾加害于蜂， 霜却总是使其枯萎。 不驯服者以不驯服者， 方可调伏，贤者则不能。 麻风病

Because of sitting on a high peak, Low-lying areas are also seen as flat. Some, though without merit, are surrounded by retinues, Virtuous ones do not abandon the surrounding of retinues. Like the halo of the moon in mid-month, Together they arise and diminish. Even when great beings encounter decline, Their power and skill are not ordinary. If Agarwood is burned in fire, Its fragrance is not ordinary like that. Even if great beings have small faults, The faults of ordinary people are not like that. Just as the moon is full, The halo appears at the time of the full moon. The ordinary people who are impoverished in power, When they strive and go to others, Though they cannot cut themselves with a whetstone, They sharpen the axe to be sharp. Foolish people look at others', Faults far away, but not their own. The eye does not see its own faults, But perceives the halo of the moon. Unborn and precious, Immaculate and firm, delighting in distinctions, The virtuous ones, like burning jewels, Do not change by small things. Short-lived, light in nature, Difficult to please, shameless, narrow-minded, The wicked sever the heart of friendship. Fire in the sky is fanned by the wind. The seeds of benefit are in the place of the virtuous, Sown and grown, not in unruly saline soil. Even when sesame oil drops are small, They spread on water, but not on sand. The wise destroy the enemy's life itself, While the unwise only harm the limbs. A lion, when angry, kills people, A dog, when angry, chases after stones. With whatever sharp point of wealth, Light hearts cannot be warmed. A fly is caught by a spider's web, But a leech cannot subdue an elephant. Even the auspicious moon with rays, Which cannot be endured by many touches, If it generates a single speck of fault, It is equal to a hundred virtues. Wicked people, with hypocritical lives, Seek opportunities to harm others. Those who move with their hands, though eating wind as food, Do not give up harming others. Unruly people, with wicked deeds, Impose faults and inflict extreme harm. A spider, after weaving a web in the sky, Catches and kills flies. The poison of a place makes the minds of the townspeople, Naturally wicked, what can it not do? The foul smell of rotten meat, What will a hungry dog not take? A fool, even if highly placed, is suppressed by a wise poor person. Rain falling from the sky causes dust particles to rise and scatter. A wise person, even if extremely impoverished, will not accept wealth mixed with contempt. Mules and such animals do not drink the seawater on the earth. A great person, when flourishing, remains calm even in old age. When the sun's orb rises and when it sets, there is no change. The suffering that diminishes daily can be endured for a month. Even a king like the sun has no desire to set, diminish, or move. Until one becomes impoverished, one associates with people, but once hail falls on one's head, who can save one? What is the difference between a virtuous person who benefits others and one who does not? If the sun does not dispel darkness, then there is no difference from darkness. Some have the power to gather joy, but no one can accomplish everything alone. A vajra can pierce a rock, but it can also cut horns and bones. Even with complete wings, one desires to fly, and through effort, one can fly far. Arrows that have exhausted their force also cause themselves to fall. Those who possess wealth but are stingy cannot use it due to their own karma. When grapes ripen, it is said that crows get beak disease. A wise person, upon seeing good things, can immediately distinguish them. Because one is very familiar with the size of the hand, one knows the weight of the scales. From the nature of accumulating sins, through difficulty, the mind becomes pure, and a naturally stained garment becomes white through effort. The respect shown by a deceitful person is for the sake of need, not out of respect. A prostitute makes a man happy for the sake of seduction, not out of happiness. Hair and sprouts are not born from eggs, poisonous mules, tree worms, wound worms, and naturally shameless impure people do not abandon their reliance and do not destroy themselves. Virtuous people are rarely rich, and most rich people have no virtues. Flower earrings are very beautiful, but lychee flowers are very fragrant. The nature is unstable, especially cunning, and difficult to grasp.
