具有功德却被悭吝束缚， 乞求时却带着嗔恨， 将被巨大的痛苦压迫， 如同丑陋的须摩罗。 对于平等者等心生嫉妒， 今生也将遭受巨大痛苦， 来世的果报也将巨大， 譬如年幼的狐狸。 没有傲慢，极其调柔地行事， 对一切人都坦诚相待， 没有嗔恨，舍弃我慢， 对一切人都面带微笑，正直而言。 不说无意义的闲言碎语， 不去人多的地方， 不饮用酒等令人迷醉之物， 随心所欲地布施， 像对待朋友一样慈爱火， 精勤于善法， 受持并守护戒律等。 如此行事之后，众多的人， 自然而然地获得安乐。 现在极其恶劣之人， 使胜者的教法濒临衰败。 现在不赞扬恶行， 邪见恶劣之人， 愚昧者们，对于薄伽梵（世尊）的， 教法的树木没有砍伐。 现在没有慈悲心的人， 歪曲佛法，随心所欲地制造。 贪婪成性，看不到他人， 将教法的胜幢颠倒。 现在难以调伏，没有羞耻心， 喜欢罪恶，伪装行为。 罪恶之人，对于能仁的， 教法的桥梁没有摧毁。 现在剃光头却不修持， 行为不检点，以恶行装饰身体。 奸诈之人，对于能仁的， 教法的集市没有摧毁。 现在嗔恨、傲慢， 炫耀财富，贪恋利养。 造作各种罪恶之人， 将佛法的船只没有摧毁。 现在能仁的教法也， 仅仅只剩下一点点而已。 能仁的教法如浩瀚大海， 不久将会干涸。 狮子吼的教法， 被时间的车轮彻底摧毁后， 将会迅速地毁灭。 当出现如此的时代时， 希求安乐者，为了利益， 那就要好好地观察。 造作恶劣时代的车轮， 下劣之人，智慧邪恶， 不善于依止具德之人， 依止罪恶，舍弃戒律， 畏惧寂静，喜欢喧嚣， 不贤善，学坏，上师贪财， 凶狠残暴，傲慢，轻蔑他人， 信任恶劣之人， 将佛陀的教法弄糟。 寂静安乐的时代已经结束。

Those endowed with virtues are bound by stinginess, When begged, they are filled with anger, They will be oppressed by great suffering, Like the unsightly Shumaras. They are jealous of those who are equal, Here too, great suffering will arise, In the future, the ripening will be great, Like a young fox. Be without arrogance, be extremely gentle, Speak frankly to everyone, Be without anger, abandon pride, Smile at everyone and speak honestly. Do not speak meaningless chatter, Do not go to places with many gatherings, Do not drink intoxicating things like alcohol, Give generously as you wish, Be kind to fire like a friend, Be diligent in virtuous Dharma, Take and protect vows, etc. Having done so, many people, Will naturally attain happiness. Now, extremely wicked people, Are close to causing the Victorious One's teachings to decline. Now, unpraised evil deeds, And those with evil, wrong views, Ignorant ones, regarding the Bhagavan's (Lord Buddha), The tree of teachings has not been cut down. Now, those without compassion, Distort the Dharma and create their own. Greedy and attached, not seeing others, They have overturned the victory banner of the teachings. Now, they are difficult to tame, without shame, Delighting in sin and pretending to be virtuous. Sinful ones, regarding the Thubpa's (Buddha's), The bridge of teachings has not been broken. Now, they shave their heads but do not practice, Their conduct is immoral, they adorn their bodies with evil deeds. Deceitful ones, regarding the Thubpa's (Buddha's), The market of teachings has not been destroyed. Now, with anger and pride, They boast of wealth and are attached to gain. People who commit various sins, Have not destroyed the boat of Dharma. Now, the Thubpa's (Buddha's) teachings, Only a little bit remains. The Thubpa's (Buddha's) teachings, like a vast ocean, Will soon dry up. The teachings of the lion's roar, Having been completely destroyed by the wheel of time, Will quickly perish. When such a time arises, Those who desire happiness, for the sake of benefit, That is the kind of thing to examine well. Those who create the evil wheel of time, Inferior people, their wisdom is corrupt, They do not know how to rely on virtuous ones, They rely on faults and abandon discipline, They fear solitude and desire commotion, They are not wise, they learn badly, the teachers are greedy, They are fierce, cruel, arrogant, and despise others, Trusting in evil people, They have ruined the Buddha's teachings. The time of peace and happiness is over.

When unbearable and cruel times arise, The wise people and, The powerful beings will perish. When such times arise, One should abandon one's homeland and dwelling, And go to other lands. There, too, in the secluded depths of the forest, One should reduce speech and abide. For those who do not keep virtuous Dharma in mind, If they keep the excellent human ethics in mind, Perhaps it will bring some benefit, therefore these are written.
