On the glorious Mount Kailāsa, the Lord of Gods, the Bhagavan, resides, and the goddess, the daughter of the Snow Mountain, also quickly strives to please the Lord. All the retinues of accomplished ones, and the retinues of the Able One, come and gather. All who gather seeking the benefit of the world, sit before the teacher, desiring to listen. The goddess asks: Bhagavan, Lord of Gods, Supreme One, who holds the rabbit-marked one on your crown, Great自在，the meaning of wisdom, White Mother, please reveal to me. Supreme joy, possessor of secrets, the secret tantra called Sound Manifestation, which you have previously spoken to me, but which is not extensively and clearly explained for those of shallow wisdom, which accomplishes all desired meanings, Great自在，I beseech you, please speak briefly. The various knowledges of the five paths, and from the manifestation of sound and clarity, what are the differences in power? The manifestation of planetary positions and seasonal combinations, good and bad, happiness and suffering, likewise gain and loss, likewise life and death, how are they? Likewise victory and defeat, and what are the differences between going and coming? By the combination of one's own body, the mind and fist of another, likewise knowing the differences, and the sound and clarity of the name spoken by the messenger, knowing the differences separately, and how are the differences in the star of the questioner's name and the seasonal combination? The wheel of Śalaka, likewise Apakahaṭa, how is the wheel of time? How are the stages of life? The differences in examining birth, please be sure to explain them to me. The wheel of the path and the hunter, and how is the white wheel? What is the three-pointed wheel of Māra? How do the stars know the castes?

The Bhagavan said: As you have asked, everything will be explained clearly in order. Vowels and consonants, and the planets, beautiful one, I will tell you. All the characteristics of the wheel, and the characteristics of the lineage to the end, whatever you need, will be clearly explained. In the past, when gods and non-gods, in a battle where hairs stood on end, the king of the gods asked me, telling this, the non-gods were defeated. Whoever does not know the manifestation of vowels, yet wishes to win in battle, is like wanting to strike the sky with a fist, like chasing after the water of a mirage. Beautiful one, in the world, when the gods of time appear, if one enters without examination, one is certainly a fool, fortress goddess. When the lords of time appear, one should examine and then enter. All that is auspicious and inauspicious, will show its characteristics. For those whose minds are pure, because there is no discrimination, this is not needed. By the difference of bodily diseases and wind, one can know the fruit of the three times. Therefore, for the inner wind, one should abide equally and be aware. When setting out for battle, if the mind is joyful and beautiful, happy and bright, it is auspicious.
