Likewise, the upper and lower parts of the body should be purified. Early winter is the season of summer, and late winter is the season of wind. Bile is in autumn, and Soga is the season of heat. Phlegm is disturbed in spring when flowers bloom. For this, rely on the same beneficial medicine. For phlegm disorders, use emetics in combination. When bile disorders occur, take purgatives. The nature of wind is subdued with gentle remedies. Those with humoral imbalances should also use those mixed remedies. For wind, use sour, ghee, saltpeter, and sweet foods and drinks. For bile, use sweet, bitter, astringent, and cool things. For phlegm, use bitter, hot, rough, astringent, and pungent tastes. By consuming those that bring them closer, diseases will be completely pacified. If it is other wisdom, what does it indicate that has not been indicated? After correctly understanding the diseases yourself, as they are, the medicines are then made for those of shallow wisdom. It is slightly determined in the treatise, as a fruit. By proclaiming the hundredfold compound with excellent qualities, may the unsurpassed merit that I have obtained, by this, may the diseases of all kinds of tormented, limitless beings be eliminated! The medicine scripture called Hundredfold Compound, composed by the holy Nagarjuna, is complete. In front of the great Nepalese Pandit Brahmin Jeta Karna, the root and commentary were first heard once. Later, in India, In front of the great Pandit Buddhashrijnana of the East, a little was heard. Not far from the monastery of the holy Lokeshvara in Kyirong, the land of accomplishment, at the seat of the great among the great, the auspicious Crystal Temple, urged by the monk Amogha, who diligently upholds the precepts, possesses the three baskets, and is well-versed in the tantras and the branches of the tantras, especially understanding the meaning of the treatise that summarizes the essence of the eight branches of the life Veda, translated and well-established by the learned translator Shakya Bhikshu Palnyima Gyaltsen Zangpo, comparing it with three commentaries.
