Indeed, there are other expanses, The palate, teeth, tongue, and lips, Contact is what is called "other." However many letters of location there may be, If bound by a single tone, That is also called a single letter. A very subtle aspect of form, That is also called a single letter. The part that leads these sounds, Alpapraana (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,less breath) are two in one. Mahaapraana (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,great breath) is one itself. Anusvaara (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,anusvara) is the sound of inhaling. Visarjaniiya (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,visarjanīya) is cutting off. Hrasva (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,short) is the usual sound, Diirgha (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,long) is twice the duration, Pluta (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,prolated) is similarly three times. Udaatta (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,acute) is the same two in one, Anudaatta (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,grave) is half a part, Svarita (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,circumflex) is its own sound. Nasalization is a part of Anusvaara (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,anusvara), Called voiced and unvoiced. The names of large and small, How it is for the upright, It is the same for other tones as well, For that, a slight part of the location is, From the parts of the palate and throat, The tones of raising and bending arise, Likewise, praise and dispraise from the lips, Tightening is from the part of the crown, Loosening is the teeth. When bound by these, The part is as the four spoken before, mi (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,mi) de (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,de) mu (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,mu) do (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,do) r̥ (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,ṛ) li (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,li) of, Combine the parts of the sounds appropriately, Consider the part of a (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,a) in front, The remainder is called the part of form, Those are each part, Whatever relies on each other, Because it pervades everywhere, it is a common part. Those are the distinctions of letters, For the sake of not having many kinds, And for making names and words clear, And for the sake of expressing meanings, Therefore, it is called a letter. Of nature, action, and necessity, It is etymology, in order of four. Assembly, body, and gathering are, Kinds, combine them likewise. Just as dust becomes a lump, When letters gather, The name will be fully accomplished. Whatever form parts gather, If it expresses the essence of meaning, Whether the form parts are many or few, That is fully called a name. That is also the beginning of the name, And the two kinds that are subsequently accomplished. The first is a conventionally established name, The subsequently accomplished are meaningful, And it is considered both kinds. That is whether there is etymology or not. Whatever does not rely on others, Whatever is arbitrarily done is the first. That which relies on it is subsequently accomplished, Conventionally established and meaningful are considered two. Although the same in conventionally established, Because it does not rely, it is accomplished, Other names

Not relying on anything, because there is no contradiction by others. The reasons for establishing validity, similarly rely on the nature of phenomena. Meaningful names are also similarly based on the initial convention. Subsequent conventions are established to refute falsehoods. What is the name of the initial convention? Like the nature of phenomena without a basis for definition. A meaningful definition that possesses that is: because it is that, and because it exists, because it benefits that, because it does that, because it is to be done by that, and because it is like that, because it is for that, and because it is that itself, that is called its name. Whether there is a means of understanding or not, the definition is expressed by the power of the occasion. Establishing "is" and "essence," and the cause of things is the name of the thing, the remainder is called imputation. The definition of one's own essence, and the imputed name that eliminates others, and because one's own distinction eliminates others, establishing "is" and "essence," and the causes of things are in order. Relying on the basis is imputation, and the result on the indirect cause, and similarly on the direct cause, on what has become the result or action, on that is imputed the name of the cause, or the names of other examples, through the door of these meanings, existence and benefit to that, doing and accomplishing actions, similarly connecting and sequentially. If two names are combined, or even many are combined, if they express a distinction, then it is highly called a word, and also with particles and so on. There are ten combinations of words: many syllables and phrases, and distinctions and limbs, base and single-base collection, common base and its offspring, class distinction and a mere aspect. The extreme distinction of two or many words, possessing and not possessing its own name, direction and category mutually, many words, that is, many kinds, by the distinction of similar and different, from all directions and one direction, the extreme distinction is considered to be four kinds. Combining with the six agents is completely possessing all, from one hundred and sixty-eight, holding the three combinations at one time. The collection of words is of five kinds: two and category distinction, other and the word of action. By the distinction of object and so on, the end of the second and so on to the seventh.
