There is no giving after the sound of the throat. Narrowness is what is not completely abandoned, and whatever is spoken from the position of the throat is a narrow throat sound. Subsequently, whatever is spoken later is subsequent speech, which is subsequent giving. Those without vowels and qualities are without vowels. The first, third, fifth, and final consonants are all small breaths. Which are the first, third, and fifth of each group? Ka ga nga (ཀ་ག་ང་, Devanagari: क ग ङ, Roman transliteration: ka ga ṅa, literal meaning: ka ga nga), tsa dza nya (ཙ་ཛ་ཉ་, Devanagari: च ज ञ, Roman transliteration: ca ja ña, literal meaning: ca ja nya), ta da na (ཊ་ཌ་ཎ་, Devanagari: ट ड ण, Roman transliteration: ṭa ḍa ṇa, literal meaning: ta da na), ta da na (ཏ་ད་ན་, Devanagari: त द न, Roman transliteration: ta da na, literal meaning: ta da na), and pa ba ma (པ་བ་མ་, Devanagari: प ब म, Roman transliteration: pa ba ma, literal meaning: pa ba ma), and the final consonants ya ra la va (ཡ་ར་ལ་ཝ་, Devanagari: य र ल व, Roman transliteration: ya ra la va, literal meaning: ya ra la va) are all small breaths. Why is it called a breath with a small breath? Because they are enlarged. The other is a large breath. The other is said to be the second and fourth of the five groups. Kha gha (ཁ་གྷ་, Devanagari: ख घ, Roman transliteration: kha gha, literal meaning: kha gha), tsha dzha (ཚ་ཛྷ་, Devanagari: छ झ, Roman transliteration: cha jha, literal meaning: cha jha), tha dha (ཋཌྷ་, Devanagari: ठ ढ, Roman transliteration: ṭha ḍha, literal meaning: tha dha), tha dha (ཐ་དྷ་, Devanagari: थ ध, Roman transliteration: tha dha, literal meaning: tha dha), and pa bha (པ་བྷ་, Devanagari: फ भ, Roman transliteration: pha bha, literal meaning: pa bha). Sha sha sa ha (ཤ་ཥ་ས་ཧ་, Devanagari: श ष स ह, Roman transliteration: śa ṣa sa ha, literal meaning: sha sha sa ha) is said to be spoken immediately, and how can it be understood as a large breath without reversing it? The third, fourth, fifth, and those with subsequent vowels, and the final consonants, and the letter ha (ཧ་, Devanagari: ह, Roman transliteration: ha, literal meaning: ha). Which are the third, fourth, and fifth of the five groups? Ga gha nga (ག་གྷ་ང་, Devanagari: ग घ ङ, Roman transliteration: ga gha ṅa, literal meaning: ga gha nga), dza dzha nya (ཛ་ཛྷ་ཉ་, Devanagari: ज झ ञ, Roman transliteration: ja jha ña, literal meaning: ja jha nya), da dha na (ཌ་ཌྷ་ཎ་, Devanagari: ड ढ ण, Roman transliteration: ḍa ḍha ṇa, literal meaning: da dha na), da dha na (ད་དྷ་ན་, Devanagari: द ध न, Roman transliteration: da dha na, literal meaning: da dha na), and ba bha ma (བ་བྷ་མ་, Devanagari: ब भ म, Roman transliteration: ba bha ma, literal meaning: ba bha ma) are said. Those with subsequent vowels are together with subsequent vowels. The letter ya (ཡ་, Devanagari: य, Roman transliteration: ya, literal meaning: ya), re pha (རེ་ཕ་, Devanagari: रे फ, Roman transliteration: re pha, literal meaning: re pha), the letter la (ལ་, Devanagari: ल, Roman transliteration: la, literal meaning: la), the letter va (ཝ་, Devanagari: व, Roman transliteration: va, literal meaning: va), and the letter ha (ཧ་, Devanagari: ह, Roman transliteration: ha, literal meaning: ha). Giving after the broad throat sound is with vowels. Broad is without narrowness, etc., as before. Because it has vowels and qualities, it is vowels. The second and fourth, and sha sha sa ha (ཤ་ཥ་ས་ཧ་, Devanagari: श ष स ह, Roman transliteration: śa ṣa sa ha, literal meaning: sha sha sa ha) are warm. Which are the second and fourth of the five groups? Kha gha (ཁ་གྷ་, Devanagari: ख घ, Roman transliteration: kha gha, literal meaning: kha gha), tsha dzha (ཚ་ཛྷ་, Devanagari: छ झ, Roman transliteration: cha jha, literal meaning: cha jha), tha dha (ཋ་ཌྷ་, Devanagari: ठ ढ, Roman transliteration: ṭha ḍha, literal meaning: tha dha), tha dha (ཐ་དྷ་, Devanagari: थ ध, Roman transliteration: tha dha, literal meaning: tha dha), and pha bha (ཕ་བྷ་, Devanagari: फ भ, Roman transliteration: pha bha, literal meaning: pha bha) are said. All of sha sha sa ha (ཤ་ཥ་ས་ཧ་, Devanagari: श ष स ह, Roman transliteration: śa ṣa sa ha, literal meaning: sha sha sa ha) are like that, and because they have the quality of warmth, they should be regarded as warm. Like that is the external effort. Whatever is spoken immediately like that should be understood as external effort. Here also there are three distinctions of short, long, and very long letters. Here refers to there. A letter is to do thoroughly. The letter a (ཨ་, Devanagari: अ, Roman transliteration: a, literal meaning: a) is to do. That is also distinguished by doing thoroughly with short, long, and very long.

The three "pa" are the three distinctions. The difference is what is called "phye ba." By gathering letters, all classifications are completely summarized, and that itself is the gathering of letters. Likewise, it is the same elsewhere. The nature is: due to the distinction of udātta, anudātta, and svarita, it becomes eighteen kinds due to the distinction of following vowels and not following vowels. Each one individually, short sounds and so on, becomes three kinds due to the distinction of udātta, anudātta, and svarita. Again, like that, after each short sound, it becomes two kinds due to the distinction of following vowels and not following vowels. Like that, there are three kinds of short sounds and so on, becoming fifty-four kinds. Like that, the letter I, the letter U, the letter Ṛ, and the letter Ḷ. Like this, the letter A becomes eighteen kinds due to the distinction of the differentiating function of short sounds and so on. Like that, the letters E and so on are also distinctions of letters. The letter Ḷ has no long sound, so it becomes twelve kinds. Because it becomes a distinction of six kinds of long sounds, it is exactly twelve. The letter Pṛ has the distinction of short and very long sounds. Connecting letters have no short sounds, so in addition to that, they become twelve kinds. The four letters E and so on are also connecting letters. Because there are no short sounds, they possess the distinction of long and very long sounds. Each one individually is exactly twelve. Two letters are also like that. The word "also" connects to the connecting letters. Those are also with one letter each and two letters. For example, the letter A and the letter A, the letter I and the letter I, etc., when combined with others, become the letters Ā and Ī. Like that, combining the letter E becomes the letter AI. Those, like that, the letter U and the letter Ā, etc., when combined with others, become the letter O. Like that, combining with the letter O becomes the letter AU. Like that, the letter I and the letter Ī, the letter U and the letter U, each combining, the letters AI and AU truly exist. Of those, the letters O and AU are grasped, and from the collection, Aita is spoken separately. Short is just one unit. A letter with one unit is said to be short. Long is two units. Half
