Mothers also die, fleeing in fear, abandoning their homes and living alone. Relatives and friends abandon, I wander alone. Even if someone loves me, they won't come from outside to help. Such relatives, discard them like dust! Before the sprout of Bodhicitta is burned from the root, always hold onto that supreme Bodhi mind. Once Bodhicitta arises, in an instant, regard those suffering beings imprisoned in the cycle of existence as sons of the Sugata and bless them. Those who wish to eliminate the suffering of sentient beings, and those who wish to be free from the cycle of existence, always generate this supreme Bodhi mind. This is the great teaching of the noble ones. Please tame your mind, for the Bhagavan has said that Bodhicitta is the root of Dharma. Pride, fame, virtue, merit, like fruits, even if practiced truthfully, will be exhausted. But the merit of generating Bodhicitta is eternal, bearing fruit, never exhausted, but increasing. Even if there is a mountain of sins, merely generating Bodhicitta can pacify them, so why wouldn't the cautious rely on it? It is like the fire at the end of time, capable of burning great sins in an instant. Therefore, with unwavering Bodhicitta, with both aspirational and engaging Bodhicitta, with irreversible, single-minded faith, I will always hold onto that Bodhicitta. Afterwards, even if controlled by the two kinds of laziness, forgetting Bodhicitta, merit will naturally increase, like an ever-flowing river, always emerging, its merits beyond words. A virtuous person who enters the gate of the true Dharma with faith in Bodhicitta should grasp these instructions in this way. If born in a place without leisure, it is difficult to practice Dharma. Even though one has autonomy, one says one has no autonomy, deceived by demons, one goes to one's own destruction. For this liberation that cannot rely on others, others cannot provide any help, therefore, when one obtains a human body, one should make good use of it. Because one cannot be certain when happiness and suffering will come, one should practice the true Dharma. Because one cannot be certain who will enjoy worldly pleasures, one should strive to sow the seeds of the future. If one obtains a human body, in youth, abandon worldly pleasures and other trivial matters, in youth, embrace the true Dharma, children and loved

It is the support of old age. Some are foolishly attached to their children and grandchildren. The lice on the body are observed with the eyes. The net of fingers is spread, and one is killed by the executioner. The ripening of karma resides on the face, and it will ripen in the next life. When experiencing suffering, children are of no help to me. You, for the sake of monks, Brahmins, and gods, guests, parents, children, and consorts, and for the sake of your retinue, do not commit evil deeds, for no one desires the suffering of hell for countless eons. Therefore, do not be attached to children, take refuge in the Dharma. If you do not strive for the sacred Dharma in your youth, when you are old and want to listen, your ears will not hear the sound. Wisdom is dull, and it is difficult to understand. You want to go to practice, but your body has no strength. Although you like the Dharma, you cannot practice it yourself. Why not practice the sacred Dharma in your youth? You must grasp the supreme Dharma with your true heart. Worldly happiness is like a cloud, constantly changing. If you practice the Dharma, know that you have become rich. Because worldly wealth is destined to be destroyed. Abandon the ten non-virtues and accept the ten virtues, this is the behavior of the wise, and you will be happy in the next life. Wear tattered clothes that are just enough to keep you from freezing, Eat coarse food that is just enough to fill your stomach, Dedicate these meager enjoyments to the supreme Bodhi. Among all the riches, contentment, is the most supreme, as the teacher of gods and humans said. Always be content, if you are content, even if you have no wealth, you are truly rich. I am giving you loving advice. I do not expect you to provide food, wealth, or refuge. I advise you in order to escape the situation of the evil realms of samsara. Not acting according to the teachings is a foolish and despicable thing. Even when walking on the edge of a cliff, you must be careful, what more to say about a cliff that plunges into the abyss of eons? Thinking that you will not die today or tomorrow, living so comfortably, how can I approve? Even if you die young while practicing the Dharma, it is happiness, because you will be reborn in a pure land, without suffering. An old person without the Dharma dies, and says it is happiness. Dying is suffering, because you will go to the evil realms. You must know the difference between happiness and suffering. If you have the Dharma, even if you are humble, you will be respected. Listen to the wise who explain the truth of the Dharma. Possessing worldly wealth, but using the objects of the sacred Dharma to enjoy. You must let go of the pursuit of the Dharma, let go of the attachment to material things. All enjoyments are like stars, fleeting, if you do not completely let go, they will eventually be exhausted.
