A missive called "The Order of Purifying the Jewel Mind." The Secret of Victory over Enemies. A missive called "The Order of Purifying the Jewel Mind." The Secret of Victory over Enemies. In Sanskrit: Cittaratnaviśodhana krama nāma lekha. In Tibetan: A missive called "The Order of Purifying the Jewel Mind." Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Ruling the three realms, governing beings with Dharma, The teacher of gods and humans, the father of noble beings, Destroying arrogance, bringing joy to one's retinue, The sole king of Dharma, may you be victorious! A fool like me cannot exhort others, And nowadays, exhortation rarely helps. However, lord of the earth, please forgive my faults, Unable to bear the suffering of so many beings, I exhort you. Ruling the people, your power, is from your own mind in the past, Obtained from taming the untamable, not given by others, Nor does it emerge from the earth or fall from the sky. If you wish this glory of the land not to decline, still tame your mind. One should examine what is beneficial, and even if difficult, do it, What is not beneficial, even if easy to do, should be abandoned. Therefore, in the past, the great Muni, transformed into the Moon Prince, Spoke teachings to the son of King Sudasa, A single king, on the battlefield, conquered the army. In order to destroy self-cherishing, do not do what has not been done before. Lord of the people, one should also see the next life. Therefore, even if pleasing, one should not rely on what is not beneficial. Thus it is said. Therefore, in order to awaken me, who falls into the inferior caste of arrogance, the enemy, In any case, lord of the people, you should respectfully listen to my words, The great Muni clearly said, one should learn good words from a child. Lord of the earth, like taking honey from a thorny tree, One should also take good words from an enemy. Like poison flowing from a golden mountain, One should also abandon unpleasant words. Thus it is said. The untamed mind brings unbearable suffering such as Avici hell, Taming it brings the bliss of gods and humans, and the non-mundane. This extremely powerful mind, which wise person would not tame?

dzes. Here, the mind is naturally luminous, and its nature is always non-conceptual. However, the body and speech, like servants, are disturbed by sudden afflictions and near afflictions. Therefore, these should be thoroughly purified to generate a luminous nature like that of a crystal, free from disturbance. This is non-abiding nirvana. In summary, when the mind is disturbed, it becomes conceptual. The body and speech, like servants, are controlled in four ways: the root of all is multiple conceptualizations, as well as strong attachment, hatred, and ignorance. Among these, due to multiple conceptualizations, one should focus on the samadhi of wind to abandon it. Counting, following, dwelling, as well as thinking and transforming, are considered to be six forms. These are counting, following, dwelling, near-thinking, transforming, and complete purification. It is complete when it possesses these six factors. Counting is when one focuses the mind on inhalation and exhalation, without intentional effort, relaxes the body and mind, and counts from one to ten with mere mindfulness. Because of the fear that the mind will be gathered or scattered, one should not count too much or too little. There are three faults in this: if one counts one as two, there is the fault of overcounting. If one holds two as one, there is the fault of undercounting. If one holds inhalation as exhalation, or exhalation as inhalation, there is the fault of confused holding. Other than that, it is correct counting. If the mind is scattered in between, one should start counting again from the beginning until one attains samadhi. Following is when one follows the inhalation and exhalation without intentional effort, observing where they arise or enter, whether they pervade the whole body or run from a certain part. When it enters, it enters the throat, chest, navel, waist, thighs, and buttocks.
