Those who are completely without anger, without hatred, without pride, not attached to possessions, places, and relatives, possessing samadhi, possessing a mind that rejoices in others, accepting solitary places, praising the solitary places of others, extolling the virtues of accepting solitary places, not dwelling in the Sangha and viewing it as a fault, not relying on evil friends, accepting virtuous friends, meditating for a long time, not harming the body, not engaging in violent behavior with the body, having no bodily misdeeds, not speaking harsh words with the tongue, having no unwholesome thoughts in the mind, not thinking about meaningless distractions, not intentionally performing conditioned virtues, not hindering any friends, having no desire for food, and so on, not engaging in casual actions, having no profit or expectations, being without disputes, being without laziness, and not gladly accepting things other than the work of meditation, being free from hypocrisy, flattery, deception, and trickery, etc., this should be known as the sign of calm abiding. The sign of higher vision is clairvoyance and so on. This, for the time being, is a brief method of the ritual of meditation. The Victorious One who shows all the great meanings of goodness has spoken well, Mipam Gönpo has composed well with his own intelligence without error. Showing wisdom at the tip of the tongue, looking with the eyes of wisdom for the benefit of sentient beings, the good has come, and the meanings without error have been clearly arranged as they are. In the world, like a fool who loses a jewel and has no regrets, the ignorant do not abide in the uncertain because they are without discipline, they are filled with Dharma and do not like changes in their desired environment, and they have no fear. Even in hell, there is no slanderous exposition of the essence of the Dharma. The person who slanders the well-spoken words of the perfect Buddha, the one who constantly shows meaning and slanders the teachings, should be recognized as a demon. Just as a lotus opens in the center of the sun, the essence of the well-spoken words is the immeasurable realm of the Buddhas. The "Lamp of Meditation," composed by the yogi, the essence of the eye, the venerable teacher Asanga, is complete. ། ། The instructions called "The Lamp of Meditation." With
