I am attached, completely gathered, and arising from the mind. So, how does it transform through scriptural authority? From the Mahayana sutras or tantras, regarding the explanation of tranquility, its methods, and its qualities, it is because of what increases what. So, how does it rely on it? By relying on what with what, that which relies on it increases it. Moreover, from the scriptures, what sound does the great bodhisattva rely on to cause inferior beings to generate realization? Relying on realization, one becomes endowed with tranquility. Relying on that, insight increases. Relying on that, dualistic wisdom arises. The great bodhisattva, in hell, while practicing the conduct of a bodhisattva, relies on the sound of the Buddha's all-seeing vision to manifest complete enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, and so on, extensively explained. How about with the object of focus? For whatever has an object of focus that comes from something else, such as relying on burning and cremation, the impure meditation is completely perfected. Relying on the fire at the end of time, etc., the samadhi of cessation is completely perfected, and so on. And, by means of the antidote of the appearance of the five-jeweled body, the samadhi of the body is completely perfected. By the power of pulverization and melting, the meditation on bindus is perfected. What is called the light of appearance is what perfects the meditation on light. Relying on the sky and clouds, the wisdom of clear light is perfected, and so on, extensively explained. Whatever desired object becomes sacred. How does it transform through refutation? Like this, regarding desire and the object of desire, viewing it as a fault and not worth being attached to, at the beginning, being in accordance with mindfulness, and other companions, and later arising subsequent mindfulness, and impurity, selflessness, impermanence, tastelessness, whatever is desired becomes single-pointed. In other scriptures it says: At the beginning, being in accordance with what is co-emergent, other companions later arise with mindfulness, therefore free from ignorance, attachment, and afflictions, meditation.
