A Commentary on the King of Aspiration Prayers of Noble Samantabhadra's Conduct, by Nagarjuna. A Commentary on the King of Aspiration Prayers of Noble Samantabhadra's Conduct. Nagarjuna. In Indian language: Ārya Bhadra Caryā Praṇidhāna Mahārāja Nibandhana. In Tibetan: A Commentary on the King of Aspiration Prayers of Noble Samantabhadra's Conduct. Homage to Samantabhadra! The King of Aspiration Prayers of Noble Samantabhadra's Conduct, if its meaning is briefly summarized, has ten aspects, namely: prostrating to the Tathagatas; making offerings to them; confessing misdeeds; rejoicing in merit; urging the turning of the wheel of Dharma; requesting the Tathagatas to remain; dedicating the roots of virtue; and their detailed distinctions; their ultimate end; and their benefits. Among these, generally, without distinguishing between body, speech, and mind, prostrating to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, residing in all the fields of the ten directions, is what is spoken based on this, such as "As many as exist, whoever they may be." "As many as" means as many as there are, that is, how much is the measure. Therefore, the measure will be completely determined. Therefore, by showing that the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are immeasurable by the general term, "whoever they may be" is spoken, meaning that from the perspective of number and name, they are beyond measure. "In the worlds of the ten directions" means in the beings of all the ten directions. "All the lions of men who have gone to the three times" means all that has become the three times, meaning all those who reside in the three times. "Lions of men" means that which is free from fear of everything and has no doubt about anything is called a lion. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are also similar to this in the world including the gods, therefore, because they are similar to a lion, they are lions. In order to show that they are born in all men, therefore they are also men, so the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are lions of men. I prostrate and pay homage to all of these. Because of the desire to express, one aspect is expressed, thereby seeing all sounds, therefore, it completely encompasses all that remains.
