All authors should only follow the Mahayana scriptures. The basis of discussion should be Dharma. Abandon anything that contradicts Dharma, and practice conduct that aligns with Dharma. Whichever wise author prioritizes Dharma is auspicious. For them, there is no doubt that they will be happy in this life and the next. With little learning and abandoning company, one should reside in a remote hermitage. One should diligently engage in the practice of peace and discipline. One should not look at any household, nor examine the faults of others, but examine one's own faults. A wise person should also avoid words that do not please the hearts of others. A Bodhisattva who possesses these qualities will not decline in the future and will be liberated in happiness, as said by the Sage. Disdaining, especially killing, and reviling others will cause oneself to decline. Cultivate the perception of seeing all beings as teachers. Especially cultivate this mind for those who have entered the gate of Dharma and for Bodhisattvas. What is the strong, self-born bond? It is gain and respect. Therefore, abandon attachment to the eight worldly concerns. What is liberation from that bond? Like a lotus in fire, it will become a wondrous place for the wise. A renunciate practitioner is the cause of the arising of all Buddha-Dharma. By abiding in the four noble lineages, one should be content and have few desires. The Sage said that one should train in the twelve qualities of asceticism. Abiding in reducing necessities, one should turn one's back on all attachments and abide. Wandering in unfamiliar places, one should immediately seek sustenance like a bird. Diligently taming one's own mind is taught in the wondrous sutra of the Sage. Having abandoned the difficult-to-tame mind, for the sake of worldly things like fame, at all times, day and night, learning to argue

What need is there to elaborate? At that time, what is a solitary place for me? The wise should carefully examine it. For a beginner, without relying on physical solitude, it is difficult to find mental solitude. Therefore, one should dwell in a place away from noise and distractions. Mixing leads to familiarity and attachment, which will turn the wheel of samsara. Thus, those who avoid mixing should always be mindful. Abandoning fondness for sleep, for the sake of accomplishing all the Dharma, dwell there and diligently practice. They will perfect all the Dharma. Meditate on the four mindfulnesses and abandon the four inversions. Even if one enjoys speaking, one should contemplate the meaning. The outer skin of a sugarcane has no essence; the delightful taste is contained within. If people only eat the sugarcane skin, they cannot obtain the sweetness of the sugarcane. Likewise, speech is like the skin, and contemplating the meaning is like the taste. Therefore, the wise should abandon excessive talk and always contemplate the meaning with mindfulness. For the sake of limitless sentient beings in the expanse of the sky, in the treasury of understanding wisdom, one should not neglect practice for the sake of a few. If one develops a mind attached to retinue, gain, respect, and companions, it becomes an obstacle to practice. Know that this is one's own mind. For friends and so on, one should cherish what they need. If the mind is disturbed by what is needed, then many obstacles will also arise for the Dharma. One should completely abandon being fond of worldly affairs, tame the difficult-to-tame mind, and practice virtue. One should completely abandon being fond of frivolous talk and adorn oneself with patience. The greatness of patience is immeasurable. One should see the faults of the six dharmas, such as gain and respect. Although the conduct of a Bodhisattva is immeasurable, in summary, it does not deviate from the two, skillful means and wisdom. With the parents of skillful means and wisdom, one can give birth to the sons of the Buddhas. For those who seek the sons of the Sugatas, skillful means and wisdom are the parents. These two practices should be combined. If these two practices are separated, then one cannot give birth to the sons of the Buddhas. Just as men and women are companions to each other. Therefore, it is said to be an inseparable bond. One should always cultivate the root of all dharmas—the aspiration, and like the waxing moon, constantly increase the mind of practice, becoming powerful.
