That is so. Considering this meaning, as it is said: Bodhisattvas treat sentient beings as if they were their only child. From the depths of their feet, they generate love and wish to always act in this way. Just as a pigeon cherishes its beloved child, holding it in its lap. Just as one would be angry and opposed to such a child, so too should one treat sentient beings with love, like one's own child. As it is said, the great scholar Nor gyi Tsalag also said: Inferior beings seek happiness belonging to their own continuum by various means. Intermediate beings only seek to stop suffering, not happiness, because suffering is the source of suffering. Superior beings seek only happiness and the complete cessation of suffering for others through the suffering existing in their own continuum, because the suffering of others is their own suffering. Furthermore, whoever suffers from the suffering of others and rejoices in the happiness of others, and not for themselves, such beings are of the true Mahayana lineage. They do not look to their own happiness and strive to save others from the great river of suffering. Those who are naturally compassionate are more pleased with the happiness of others than with their own suffering, due to the power of habituation to compassion. Therefore, if someone is naturally unable to bear seeing others suffer, thinking of exchanging themselves with others, and is as unbearable as seeing their only child falling into a cliff, being carried away by a great flood, or being in a burning fire, and treats all beings as if they were their only child, then such a person is praised here as a vessel of the Great Vehicle. What should be done for such great-minded beings? To indicate this, the lamas will teach the correct methods. The lamas mentioned here are the venerable Pal Bhodichitta, the venerable Suvarnadvipa, and others. The so-called correct methods refer to taking refuge in the Three Jewels, generating the two types of Bodhicitta, the methods for performing special activities that benefit others after generating clairvoyance, the methods for accumulating the two accumulations of merit and wisdom in union, and the methods for...

How to quickly perfect the benefit of others through the supreme secret mantra method of the Great Vehicle, which is the excellent means of accumulating the two accumulations. Desiring to explain such methods in detail, it says, "Complete Buddha images and paintings, etc.," up to "Knowing that nature is without fault." Taking refuge in the Three Jewels is like entering the gate of the great city of liberation, and also like the foundation of bodhicitta, so desiring to show it, it says, "Complete Buddha images and paintings, etc., stupas, Dharma, facing forward," etc., as shown by twelve verses. The so-called "facing forward" means facing the body of the Tathagata, seeing it and generating bodhicitta, as also said in the Mahayana Sutra, the "King's Instructions Sutra," and the virtuous friends also say so. The detailed ritual will be explained below. Thus, in the twenty-seven painted mandalas, the images of the Three Jewels are installed separately. One can also invite the pure Three Jewels residing in the ten directions to those places, or visualize oneself residing in those pure lands, and with the adornment of the body's illusion, visualize oneself in front of each Buddha and Bodhisattva, with the posture of holding a bowl or placing the hands folded on the head, completing the act of offering, and performing the Sutra of the Three Aggregates, offering to the Lama, and taking refuge. The so-called Three Jewels are like this: the Three Jewels of Reality and the Three Jewels of Presence. One should first know such a principle. Flowers, incense, etc., are symbols of material offerings. The seven-branch offering is a symbol of the practice offering. Here, the teacher who has become a Bodhisattva path, in order to accumulate merit and resources, should be good at offering, wanting to say this, quoting the "Samantabhadra's Conduct Prayer" says: "The seven-branch offering is also like this," which refers to this.

That which is called, is the King of Aspiration Prayers of the Noble Good Conduct, which comes from the Noble Array of Trees Sutra. This is the practice of Samantabhadra and the inexhaustible attainment of the ocean of aspirations of the great Bodhisattvas who dwell in the great position in the ten directions of the world, and is the practice of Samantabhadra and the aspiration of Samantabhadra, so this is like a lamp of the collection of the Bodhisattvas of the Paramita Vehicle. This is what the great wise and holy lamas have said. The so-called "Seven-Branch Offering" is what some lamas have said, that seven offerings are mentioned in the Aspiration Prayer of the Noble Good Conduct, that the verse "As many as there are, in all directions" shows the offering of prostration with body, speech, and mind. The verse beginning with "With faith in the practice of the Good" shows the offering of giving the body. The verse "In one atom are atoms as many as there are realms" shows the offering of delighting, having made those the object. "Those praises are inexhaustible, the measure of the ocean," etc., shows the offering of praise. "Excellent flowers, excellent garlands," etc., shows the supreme offering. "Whatever offerings are vast and unsurpassed," etc., shows the unsurpassed offering. "Desire, hatred, and ignorance," etc., shows the offering of the three aggregates. It is said that it shows the dedication of those that other texts do not offer. Again, some holy lamas have said that seven offerings are mentioned in the Aspiration Prayer of the Noble Good Conduct, namely excellent flowers, excellent garlands, excellent musical instruments, excellent unguents, excellent lamps, excellent incense, and excellent garments. Excellent fragrance and the two final cakes are included within the two, excellent unguents and incense, and "the distinction of arrangement" means that each of the former should be made into an arrangement that cannot be spoken of.
