If there is nothing to be examined, how can there be discrimination? There will be. Because it arises from conditions, the object to be examined is also empty of self-nature, and discrimination is also empty of self-nature. Furthermore, in order to see correctly, the ignorance arising from the four inversions does not exist. Because that does not exist, actions do not arise, and the remainder is the same. Thus, by truly understanding, the ignorance arising from the four inversions will not arise. Because that does not exist, actions do not arise because ignorance does not exist, and the remainder also does not arise. Furthermore, whatever arises dependent on something, that (thing) is born from that (thing), and if that (thing) does not exist, it will not arise. Existence and non-existence, conditioned and unconditioned, and nirvana. Whatever arises dependent on something, that (thing) is born from that (thing), and if that (thing) does not exist, it will not arise. Existence and non-existence, tranquility, conditioned and unconditioned tranquility, and nirvana. Furthermore, the things that arise from cause and condition, what is truly understood? Manifest attachment, views, thoughts, and grasping to the object of dependence. That is the ignorance spoken of by the teacher. From that, the twelve branches arise. Furthermore, in order to see correctly, things are empty. If well understood, ignorance will not arise. That is the cessation of ignorance. Therefore, the twelve branches cease. If one truly understands that things are empty of self-nature, ignorance will not arise, and that is the cessation of ignorance. Therefore, the twelve branches cease. Why? Actions are like a Gandharva city, like illusion, mirage, water bubble, like foam on water, like a dream, like a fire wheel. Because after complete examination, actions are like illusion, like mirage, like a Gandharva city, therefore they are empty of self-nature. If those are well understood, ignorance will not arise, and that is the cessation of ignorance. Therefore, the twelve branches will cease. In terms of self-nature, things do not cease. There is also nothing that does not exist here. What arises from cause and condition, existence and non-existence are empty. If sought, in ultimate truth, there is nothing that exists in terms of self-nature, and there is also nothing that does not exist here.

Furthermore, things born from causes and conditions, as well as non-things, are emptiness. All things are empty in their own nature, therefore, the arising of things is the Tathagata, showing incomparably. All things are empty in their own nature, therefore, the arising of things has been shown by the Tathagata. The ultimate truth ends there. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, rely on worldly conventions, all kinds are truly supreme. Ultimately, all arising things are empty in their own nature. That is all. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, rely on worldly conventions, all kinds without exception are truly regarded as real. The teachings of the world are not destroyed, the true Dharma has never been preached. The words of the Tathagata are not understood, therefore, fear arises in the place of no establishment and no distinction. The Dharma spoken in the world is not destroyed, truly speaking, the Dharma has never been preached. Thus, not understanding the ultimate truth, not understanding what the Tathagata said, therefore, the ignorant become afraid of the Dharma that has no establishment, no distinction, and no characteristics. Because this exists, that exists; because this arises, that arises; the establishment of the world is not prevented. Arising is without self-nature, how can it exist, such is the true determination. Because this exists, that exists; because this arises, that arises; this establishment of the world is not prevented. If the arising Dharma has no self-nature, then how can that which has no self-nature exist? This is its conclusion. The faithful diligently seek the truth, not relying on any Dharma teaching. Following this establishment with reason, abandoning existence and non-existence, one becomes peaceful. The faithful should diligently seek the truth, not relying on any Dharma teaching, following this establishment with reason, abandoning existence and non-existence, one attains peace. Knowing this as arising, the distinctions of the net of wrong views cease. In order to cut off greed, hatred, and delusion, one approaches the stainless Nirvana.
