From "Those who possess... are extremely rare," to "The perfection of meditation also does not think, 'I am following the perfection of wisdom,'" this illustrates with metaphors that skillful means are also the power of the Perfection of Wisdom. Why? Because their nature is such, empty with the nature of being unable to do anything, and accumulating, like a mirage. This means that although the Perfection of Wisdom is the main one of the five perfections, it also shows that there is no reason to think that one helps the other, because in the ultimate truth, all those perfections are empty of inherent existence, so they do not think that way, nor do they discriminate. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, if all dharmas are empty of inherent existence... etc., this is to eliminate the doubts of some in the retinue who think that if all dharmas are empty of inherent existence, then the six perfections cannot be perfected, and the result of perfecting them, the unexcelled perfect enlightenment, cannot be manifested and attained. The Blessed One replied: Subhuti, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the six perfections, he thinks that these beings in the world of sand grains are with inverted minds... until Subhuti, that Bodhisattva Mahasattva who has fully realized in that way, practices the Perfection of Wisdom for the benefit of sentient beings. This explains that although all dharmas are empty of inherent existence in the ultimate truth, in the conventional truth, for the benefit of sentient beings with inverted minds, it is impossible not to practice the complete six perfections, and the method of practicing them completely. Question: Blessed One, if there is no difference in the perfections... until between unequal and equal.

Among them, the perfections are of one taste in emptiness, and it is said to be non-conceptual. It is also said that the Prajnaparamita is the main one, and grasping this contradiction, it was asked by Subhuti. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. From "It is so, it is so" to "What is the reason for that? Thus, because they have no self-nature, therefore there is no difference," it is said: As far as the ultimate truth is concerned, it is of one taste in emptiness, and even if it has been determined that there is no difference, in the conventional truth, the Prajnaparamita is the main one, showing the difference that can be distinguished. And, when the perfections attain the fruit of omniscience, the example is used to illustrate that it will become the nature of omniscience, just as all beings with different body colors become close to Mount Meru, they will become the color of the side they are close to, and it is shown by drawing from there, it will become the color of omniscience, becoming one color. In Indian language, "pana" also refers to caste or self-nature, meaning becoming the caste or self-nature of omniscience. Question: Blessed One, since this is the case, there is no difference in any dharma, and if there is no difference, from "no difference" to "unequaled," it is like "unequal and equal." In this way, all dharmas are of one taste in emptiness, and there is no difference in any dharma. What is the meaning of attaining unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment? And why is Prajnaparamita the main one? This is how it was asked. Thus, all dharmas are one in the nature of emptiness in the ultimate truth, but in the conventional truth, if according to the worldly terms and customs, it is not that meaning cannot be obtained, nor is it that the perfections have no difference, and it is explained with examples that Prajnaparamita is the main one. Question: Blessed One, since this is the case, Prajnaparamita is called excellent, called main, from "called" to "unequal and equal, what do you think?" is about Prajnaparamita.

Asked for the reason why it is the main one. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is like this, the Perfection of Wisdom completely holds all virtuous dharmas and abides in a non-abiding manner. Wherever there is omniscience, it will abide there. This is because having the Perfection of Wisdom, all virtuous conduct is practiced with the three circles completely purified, therefore omniscience will be attained. Therefore, the Perfection of Wisdom becomes the main and supreme, etc. This is its meaning. Asked, Blessed One, does the Perfection of Wisdom hold or see any dharma? This is the wisdom of a Bodhisattva. If some dharmas are held, then it will become the fault of manifest attachment. If nothing is held and abandoned, then even omniscience cannot be attained. To dispel this thought, Subhuti asked this question. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is not like that. The Perfection of Wisdom does not hold or abandon any dharma. Why is that? Subhuti, it is like this, because all dharmas are ungraspable and unabandonable. This is because, in ultimate truth, all dharmas are empty of inherent existence, there is no object to be grasped or abandoned, therefore there is no grasping or abandoning. Asked, Blessed One, how does the Perfection of Wisdom not hold or abandon all dharmas? This question was asked to distinguish the occasion for elaborating that all dharmas such as form are ungraspable and unabandonable. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, the Perfection of Wisdom does not hold or abandon form, until Subhuti, the Perfection of Wisdom does not hold or abandon unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment. Because all dharmas such as form have no entity in ultimate truth, they are neither graspable nor abandonable, therefore the Perfection of Wisdom does not hold or abandon any dharma.
