Chapter Thirty-Four: Unequal and Equal Chapter Thirty-Four: Unequal and Equal Thereafter, the sons of gods in the desire realm and form realm of this three-thousand great thousand world realm, etc., in order to clarify that this profound Prajnaparamita, through the door of showing all dharmas as the nature of no characteristic, is generated by the Thus-Gone One and is the teacher of the world, and to raise this topic, the gods of the three-thousand great thousand world realm asked the Blessed One about the nature of Prajnaparamita, that is, when the Blessed One expounds the profound Prajnaparamita, Blessed One, what is the nature of the profound Prajnaparamita? This is because previously all dharmas are one suchness, without difference. If we measure, what is the nature of this profound Prajnaparamita that shows such profound meaning? This request was also made because previously Subhuti had expounded the profound Prajnaparamita that reveals the suchness of all dharmas, and to eliminate the thought that some in the assembly might think that such a profound dharma is something real. The Blessed One said: Sons of gods, this profound Prajnaparamita is the nature of emptiness, from this beginning, until sons of gods, this profound Prajnaparamita is the nature of space, this is to show that Prajnaparamita has no reality, so there is no nature at all. Emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, non-action, no birth, no cessation, no affliction, no purification, no reality, no self-nature, the self-nature of no reality, non-abiding, and the nature of space, these are all synonyms for no reality. This profound Prajnaparamita is of such a nature, therefore it has no nature at all, this is what is to be shown. Sons of gods,

Although this profound Prajñāpāramitā is of such a nature, the Tathāgata taught it in worldly terms, but it is not so in reality. Thus, if the Prajñāpāramitā is without things and without characteristics, then what is there to say? Thinking and contemplating, expressing it in letters and words, it is only expressed and taught in conventional worldly terms and expressions for the sake of taming sentient beings. However, in reality, it is of a nature that cannot be expressed, so it is taught that it cannot be expressed. Sons of the gods, Those characteristics cannot be changed by the world, including gods, humans, and asuras. This means that the nature of emptiness, the profound Prajñāpāramitā of ultimate reality, is immutable and completely established, and because it is completely established without being inverted, no one can make it into something that has things or the nature of grasping and being grasped. Why is that? The world, including gods, humans, and asuras, is also exhausted in that characteristic. This shows the reason why the characteristic of emptiness cannot be made into a characteristic of having characteristics, meaning that the world, including gods, humans, and asuras, is also the characteristic of emptiness, so emptiness cannot transform emptiness. Sons of the gods, characteristics do not make other characteristics. This clearly shows that meaning, meaning that both transformation and the ability to transform are also of the nature of suchness in ultimate reality, and because they are of one taste in emptiness, they do not show transformation. Characteristics do not know characteristics, which means that the self-nature of suchness, emptiness, does not know emptiness, just as the sky does not know the sky. Characteristics do not know the absence of characteristics, which means that the self-nature of emptiness, with the characteristic of suchness, does not know the characteristic of complete imputation, just as the sky does not know the horns of a rabbit. The absence of characteristics does not know the absence of characteristics, which means complete imputation and that
