Also, with the merit of having been served and revered by many, one should avoid being tainted or stained by the fault of clinging to the characteristics of the roots of virtue that are accompanied by rejoicing. Having made it common with all sentient beings, dedicating it entirely to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment shows that it is even more excellent and greater than the previous merit. Among them, the so-called "truly entering the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment" refers to bodhisattvas up to the attainment of the first ground. Then, starting from "the four great kings have twenty thousand sons of gods of the four great kings," up to "World Honored One! Thus, those bodhisattvas, great beings, who are fully embraced by the perfection of wisdom and skillful means, those sons of good family and daughters of good family, who previously did not possess skillful means, those who practice with characteristics, it is very rare that those roots of virtue are all subdued." Between making this statement and uttering praises, the gods of the desire realm and the form realm, in such a way that they do not focus, are without attachment, without characteristics, and without effort, dedicate those roots of virtue entirely to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Because they possess skillful means, they are separated from the two extremes, and completely dedicating things is excellent. And it is declared that those with characteristics subdue all the merits of the roots of virtue, and they rejoice and make offerings. Then, starting from "World Honored One and the gods of the retinue of the four great kings," up to "unequal and equal, unequal and equal," all sentient beings in the three thousand great thousand world realms have generated the unsurpassed, perfectly complete mind of enlightenment. Those who have become bodhisattvas, for all the Buddhas, Bhagavat, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas who have entered the ten directions and three times, from the initial generation of the mind to the non-destruction of the true Dharma, practice all the Buddha Dharmas, including the six perfections, and accumulate all the roots of virtue.

Moreover, with the merit of completely dedicating the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment in the manner of rejoicing and with characteristics, if a son or daughter of good family generates the mind of enlightenment for unsurpassed perfect enlightenment and becomes a Bodhisattva, then all the Buddhas, Bhagavat, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas residing in the ten directions and three times, from the initial generation of the mind until the noble Dharma is not destroyed, practice all the Buddha Dharmas such as the six perfections, and after rejoicing in the countless roots of virtue generated in those, in the manner of without object and without duality, etc., then also completely dedicate the root of virtue of rejoicing in the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment in the manner of without object and without duality, etc., then that merit shows that it is more excellent and greater than the previous merit of dedication with characteristics. Excellent, chief, etc., are merely different names for excellent, and are the same as before. Then, from the venerable Subhuti saying to the Bhagavan, "Thus I beseech," until it is called unequal and equal, it shows how much the rejoicing of without characteristics and without object will become excellent, chief, supreme, and so on. Ultimately, those roots of virtue are empty by nature and are of one taste in Suchness, so there is no acceptance or rejection, no birth or cessation, etc., and one should realize that they are of one taste in the nature of Suchness and non-erroneous Suchness, etc., and after rejoicing in the conventional, if one completely dedicates the root of virtue of rejoicing in this way to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, it will become excellent and chief, etc., and it shows that rejoicing with characteristics cannot even compare to it in hundreds and thousands of parts. Subhuti, furthermore, the son or daughter of good family of the Bodhisattva vehicle... until Subhuti, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who possesses that rejoicing, quickly obtains unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.

Up to the phrase "attaining complete and perfect enlightenment in Bodhi," it explains the method of rejoicing in all the roots of virtue of the Buddhas of the three times, the Shravakas, the Pratyekabuddhas, and all sentient beings, so that all these are without fault and completely pure. The method is to realize that all phenomena, such as form, whether worldly or transcendental, are of one taste in ultimate truth, liberated and completely pure, and that all phenomena are of the nature of non-attachment, non-bondage, and non-liberation. If, in conventional truth, one dedicates them to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, then such rejoicing and dedication are the best and most important of rejoicing, and it is shown that they will become the cause of attaining complete and perfect enlightenment. Furthermore, Subhuti, from "the world realms of the eastern direction as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River" to "with skillful means, these roots of virtue should be dedicated to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment," it is shown that the merit is especially excellent and great when one makes offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, of the ten directions, together with the Sangha of Shravakas, with all the means of happiness for as long as they live, and shows them respect, etc., and makes various offerings to the relics of those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, after they have passed into complete Nirvana, and practices the six Paramitas with a focus, and practices the six Paramitas without a focus, and with skillful means dedicates these roots of virtue to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. The Twenty-fifth Chapter, the Chapter on Dedication, from the Extensive Explanation of the Hundred Thousand Verses of the Perfection of Wisdom. Twenty-fifth: The Chapter on Rejoicing and Dedication.
