And also possesses the fearlessness of teaching the Dharma. The so-called fearlessness of being manifestly superior to and excelling all the worlds means possessing the fearlessness of teaching the path that is superior to the worldly path and the distinctive path that transcends the world. The venerable Subhuti said: "Venerable Sharadvatiputra, it is just as you said. Just as it is said, in this Perfection of Wisdom, the three vehicles, namely the Hearer Vehicle, the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, and the Vehicle of Perfectly Complete Buddhas, are also extensively taught." From "becoming manifestly superior to and excelling all the worlds and possessing fearlessness" up to "will become possessed of fearlessness," Shariputra repeated all those Dharmas that he had previously asked about, and explained that the teachings in the scriptures are indeed merely presentations of conventional truth, but in ultimate truth, all those Dharmas are unobtainable. Therefore, explaining them conventionally based on their ultimate unobtainability is not truly speaking or teaching. If it is by way of non-apprehension, then from the way of non-apprehending self, up to the way in which all-knowingness itself becomes such by way of non-apprehension, it is shown that those Dharmas taught in the scriptures, such as the three vehicles, do not exist and are not obtainable in ultimate truth. The individuals such as self and sentient beings contemplated by the non-Buddhists, and the Dharmas from form and so on up to all-knowingness, do not exist and are not obtainable in ultimate truth. It is only for the sake of guiding sentient beings that they are conventionally spoken and taught, but there is no true speaking or teaching. Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra said this to the venerable Subhuti: "Venerable Subhuti, why is it that from this Perfection of Wisdom, the three vehicles are extensively taught by way of non-apprehension, up to also possessing the fearlessness of being manifestly superior to and excelling all the worlds?" This refers to why the three vehicles and other Dharmas mentioned earlier are taught by way of non-apprehension.

This is the questioning of the reason. After saying this, the venerable Subhūti said to the venerable son of Śāradvatī as follows: "Venerable son of Śāradvatī, from 'because of the emptiness of the internal, the three vehicles are extensively taught in a way that is not perceived' to 'because of the emptiness of the nature of non-things, the three vehicles are extensively taught in a way that is not perceived,' the eighteen emptinesses are combined, and because of such emptiness, the three vehicles are extensively taught in a way that is not perceived, which is the explanation of the reason for extensively teaching the three vehicles in a way that is not perceived. From 'because of the emptiness of the internal, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva is completely grasped,' etc., it is to teach the Dharma for the benefit of the Bodhisattvas, and from the first bhūmi to the tenth bhūmi, the Dharma of the Bodhisattva path, from the six perfections to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, and the qualities of the Bodhisattva, the play of magical powers, the transformation of birth, the magical powers, etc., become the Dharma of complete non-regression, the movement from Buddha-field to Buddha-field, and the ability to make offerings and respect to the Buddhas, the roots of virtue become perfect, and hearing the Dharma of those Buddhas, until the attainment of omniscience, it will not be forgotten and will not be interrupted, and the mind will always abide in equanimity, and all fearlessness will become perfect, etc., are combined with each of the eighteen emptinesses such as the emptiness of the internal. Because of such emptiness, those Dharmas are not
