That which is called "difficult to realize" is difficult to realize because it is not an object of mental consciousness. That which is called "peaceful" is peaceful because all afflictions and near afflictions are pacified. That which is called "clear" is clear because it is skilled in realizing all dharmas as they truly are and is the cause of making them clear. That which is called "subtle" is subtle because all elaborations of conceptualization are pacified. That which is called "excellent" means that it is excellent because all suffering is pacified. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to those great Shravakas and Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas: Venerable ones, will the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who are irreversible believe in this Prajnaparamita, which is so profound, so difficult to examine, so not an object of examination, so subtle, so clear, so difficult to see, so difficult to realize, so peaceful, so excellent, so exceedingly supreme, and so knowable by the wise and intelligent? This shows that the irreversible Bodhisattvas who abide on the eighth ground will believe in this profound and vast meaning of the Prajnaparamita. The meaning of profound, subtle, clear, difficult to see, difficult to realize, peaceful, and excellent is as explained above. That which is called "difficult to examine" is difficult to examine because it is self-cognizance of each individual. That which is called "not an object of examination" is not an object of examination because the thought of the mind cannot reach it. That which is called "exceedingly supreme" is exceedingly supreme because it is the supreme place for realizing transcendent dharmas. That which is called "knowable by the wise and intelligent" is not knowable by those who grasp at signs and have conceptualizations, but it is reachable and knowable by the wise and intelligent, such as irreversible Bodhisattvas, so it is knowable by the wise and intelligent.

Meaning thereby. It is shown that the irreversible Bodhisattvas will believe in the profound and vast Prajnaparamita, because it is not that they do not believe in it. Or a person who sees the truth, or an Arhat who has exhausted the defilements and whose thoughts are completely fulfilled, means that among the noble Shravakas, there are also those who have entered the stream and have seen the four noble truths as they are, and among the noble Arhats who have exhausted the defilements, done what needs to be done, and abandoned the burden, there are also some who will believe in this profound and vast Prajnaparamita. It should be connected like this. Those sentient beings who have worked for the previous Buddhas, those who have generated roots of virtue in many hundreds of thousands of Buddhas, etc., means that among ordinary people, there are also those who have served many Buddhas in previous lives and have the habit of listening to the profound and vast Dharma. They will also believe in this profound and vast Prajnaparamita, thereby generating faith and practicing it. This is the meaning. Those sons of good family and daughters of good family who are completely possessed by virtuous friends, means that among ordinary people, there are also some who, although they do not have the karma of generating roots of virtue in the past Buddhas, rely on the merits of relying on virtuous friends in this life, and believe in and practice such a profound and difficult to measure Prajnaparamita. This is how it is shown. They will not conceive of form as emptiness, nor will they conceive of emptiness as form, etc., refers to the irreversible Bodhisattvas, Shravakas, those who see the truth, as well as Arhats and ordinary people who have the habit of past merits, and ordinary people who are completely possessed by virtuous friends, etc. Whoever believes in this profound and difficult to measure Prajnaparamita, only believes in it in the conventional truth. As far as the ultimate truth is concerned, they will not grasp or distinguish any Dharma such as form as being real. This is how it is shown. At this time

Moreover, one does not conceptually think of the five aggregates, such as form, as emptiness (Sanskrit: Śūnyatā), signlessness (Sanskrit: Animitta), wishlessness (Sanskrit: Apraṇihita), unarisen, unceasing, peaceful, and secluded. Nor does one conceptually think of emptiness and so forth as being form and so forth. That is, one does not conceptually think of the five aggregates, such as form, as well as emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, unarisen, unceasing, and secluded, as being form and so forth, because, in the ultimate sense, all of them are without substance. For the five aggregates, such as form, in conjunction with the seven dharmas such as emptiness, as explained before, similarly, for the twelve internal and external sources such as the eye, the six consciousnesses, the six conjoined contacts, the six feelings arising from contact, the six elements such as the earth element, the twelve links of dependent origination such as ignorance, the six perfections, the eighteen emptinesses, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment such as the four mindfulnesses, the four noble truths, the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine serial abidings, the three doors of liberation, the various superknowledges, the various samadhis, the various dharani gates, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great love, great compassion, the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha, the four fruits such as stream-enterer, self-enlightenment, knowledge of the aspects of the path, omniscience, and all worldly and transworldly dharmas up to the conditioned realm and the unconditioned realm should also be combined in this way. Sons of the gods, in this way, the Prajnaparamita is so profound, so inconceivable, such an inconceivable field of activity, so subtle, so clear, so difficult to see, so difficult to realize, so peaceful, so
