There is also no coming. It explains in detail the meaning of having no going and no dwelling. Why is that? Subhuti, all dharmas are immutable, they do not come from anywhere, they do not go anywhere, and they do not abide anywhere. From here, it shows the reason why the Mahayana has no coming and going. Ultimately, because all dharmas have no substance, they are immutable in the nature of Suchness, because they do not change into others, so it shows that there is no coming and going, and no dwelling. Why is that? Subhuti, for example, form does not come from anywhere, there is no going above, and it does not abide anywhere. And so on, above it is said that all dharmas are immutable, without coming and going, here it is shown by naming what all dharmas are. Why is that? Subhuti, the nature of form does not come from anywhere, etc. Ultimately, the nature of form without substance, emptiness, does not come from anywhere, does not go anywhere, and does not abide anywhere. It shows the nature of form, as well as Suchness, essence, nature, and characteristics, which are just different names for emptiness. Just as with form, so too with feelings and other worldly dharmas, as well as the six perfections and other unconditioned dharmas, up to the transcendental dharmas, should be understood in the same way. Subhuti, you say that that vehicle has no past limit, no future limit, and no middle, etc. Above, Subhuti said that that vehicle transcends the three times, so it is called the Mahayana. The Blessed One briefly stated this reason, praised it as indeed it is, and then explained in detail that that vehicle transcends the three times, and that the three times are equal. Why is that? Subhuti, for example, the past time is also empty of the past time, etc., here it shows the reason why the equality of the three times is unattainable. Ultimately, the past, future, and present

Those are empty of their own nature, and what is called the equality of the three times is merely a designation, but in reality, there is no nature of equality. The Mahayana and the Bodhisattvas abiding in the Mahayana are also without substance in the ultimate sense, so the numbers one, two, etc., of the three times cannot be counted, nor can they be distinguished as different, which is what is to be shown. Therefore, this is the vehicle of equality for Bodhisattvas and Mahasattvas, in which equality and inequality are not perceived, which means that not distinguishing between equality and inequality is the vehicle of equality, which is what is to be shown. In this regard, from "attachment and detachment are also not perceived" to "samsara and nirvana are also not perceived," the names of the dharmas such as attachment are mentioned first, and then it is shown that not perceiving the two extremes of existence and non-existence as different is equality. Why is that? Because their own nature is not perceived. That is to say, because the nature of the dharmas such as attachment, which are mentioned by name, is not perceived in the ultimate sense, therefore, the two extremes of existence and non-existence are not distinguished for them, but are equality. Subhuti, past form is empty of past form. Why is that? Because past form is not perceived from emptiness. Emptiness is also empty of emptiness, so it is not perceived. Then, how could past form be perceived from emptiness? This means that in the ultimate sense, the nature of past form is empty, and what is called emptiness is merely a nominal expression, but in reality, it is not perceived, so past form is also empty of its own nature, and there is no past form in emptiness. Similarly, the five aggregates, such as feeling, should also be combined with the meaning of the three times being imperceptible. Subhuti, the perfection of giving is not perceived at the former limit, etc., which refers to all the purified dharmas from the six perfections, etc., up to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, in combination with the three

This is the teaching on the absence of a specific target. Furthermore, Subhuti, from "Ordinary beings cannot specify the beginning of the past," to "The Tathagata cannot specify the equality of the three times. Why is that? Because sentient beings are not specifiable," it shows that the three times are not specifiable for ordinary beings and noble beings. Subhuti, thus, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, abiding in the Prajnaparamita, trains in the equality of the three times and perfects all-knowingness, etc., because that vehicle is the equality of the three times, it is called the Great Vehicle. The Bodhisattva who abides in that vehicle subdues the world with gods, humans, and asuras, and will eventually attain all-knowingness. This is the concluding and showing of the meaning. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Bhagavan, "Bhagavan, Bhagavan, that you have so well spoken of the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattvas, the equality of the three times, is excellent and auspicious," etc., this is about the benefit of attaining all-knowingness if the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the three times, in conventional truth, train in this Great Vehicle of the equality of the three times.
