That is also not acceptable. Likewise, in terms of its nature, from the perspective of sameness, when it is not completely purified, it is called conditioned phenomena; when it is completely purified, it is called unconditioned phenomena. For example, the substance of water is the same, but when it has impurities, it is called unclean water; later, when there are no impurities, it is called clean water. Just as one cannot say that the nature of water is different, this is how it is explained. Subhuti, in this way, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, they do not truly see any dharma, and because they do not truly see, they are not afraid, not alarmed, and so on. This is explaining the benefits of realizing that all dharmas are without characteristics, and these benefits will also increase faith and sharpen wisdom. Because faith increases, one will not be afraid, alarmed, or frightened due to disbelief in the profound dharma, the extremely difficult things to do, and the extremely rare and wonderful aspects of the Buddhas' teachings. Because wisdom is sharp, one will not be discouraged or regretful regarding the profound dharma, the extremely difficult things to do, and the extremely rare and wonderful aspects of the Buddhas' teachings. This is how it is explained. Subhuti, why is that? From "why is that?" to "because one does not truly see all dharmas, one is not afraid, not alarmed, not frightened," it is through explaining the reason for not being frightened that the non-characteristic nature of all dharmas is explained in detail. That is, by mentioning the skandhas, dhatus, ayatanas, and the twelve links of dependent origination, all internal and external dharmas are summarized. By mentioning desire, hatred, and ignorance, all dharmas belonging to the aspect of afflictions are summarized. By mentioning self, sentient beings, life, etc., all the various selves fabricated by non-Buddhists, which are merely fabrications, are summarized. By mentioning the three realms, all dharmas belonging to samsara are summarized. By mentioning the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and other noble ones, as well as the noble dharmas, all white dharmas belonging to the aspect of purification are summarized. Thus, all dharmas of the mundane and supramundane

Because all are not seen as they truly are, it is shown that there is no cause for fear and dread, therefore there is no fear, no dread. Asked: Blessed One, why is it that when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, they do not become discouraged towards all dharmas? From "Subhuti, if that is so, the mind of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva will not be completely frightened" to the end. Subhuti asked for the reason for the sharpness of wisdom, that is, the reason for not being discouraged and the mind not being completely frightened, and the Buddha gave the answer. Among them, "Because the mind and mental phenomena are not seen as they truly are" means: it shows that the six entering consciousnesses, the alaya consciousness, and the mental phenomena related to them are unobtainable in the ultimate truth. "Because the mind and the realm of mind are not seen as they truly are" means: it shows that the existence of afflictions and the mental phenomena related to them are unobtainable in the ultimate truth. Subhuti, because Bodhisattva Mahasattvas do not cling to all dharmas in this way, they should study the Perfection of Wisdom, etc., which is the meaning of encouraging diligence, and the end of the words is summarized to show. Up to this point, the exhortation to diligence has been explained. The third chapter of the extensive explanation of the Hundred Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom is completed. Chapter Three, The Chapter of Subhuti.
