Hearing and so forth is the path of seeing. Therefore, in the commentary on the Compendium of Trainings, the explanation of Simhabhadra, which establishes omniscience on the seventh ground, is unreasonable. Furthermore, the distinctions of its direct perception and so forth should be examined individually by the reasoning of the wise. If we see something as untrue, we should write it down as something to be abandoned. For the sake of others, repeatedly manifesting the meaning of how one has seen is the path of meditation for Bodhisattvas, which has been clearly shown. The noble Sutra of the Ten Grounds also states: By generating the mind of enlightenment and so forth, with the utmost joy, it is said that it is not meditation because it greatly surpasses the path of seeing of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. In the fifth Mind Generation Sutra, it says: The child of the Bodhisattva has completely surpassed all ordinary beings, Hearers, and Solitary Buddhas. Having completely surpassed them, having entered the faultless path of the Bodhisattva, they will definitely be born into the lineage of the Tathagatas. It is also said that for a long time, the Bodhisattva, abiding in the great self-nature of the wisdom of his own mother, will therefore greatly transcend the actions of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Therefore, it should be known that Hearers and Solitary Buddhas also have the wisdom of understanding that all phenomena are without inherent existence. If they did not have this wisdom, they would not be able to abandon the manifest activity and latent tendencies of the three realms, just like non-Buddhists, because clinging to forms and so forth as inherent existence is inverted. For those who fully understand that all phenomena are without inherent existence, there is no meditation on selflessness in the fully complete Dharma, but only the means to abandon the manifest activity of the afflictions of the three realms, and for those who fully meditate on the selflessness of persons, the Perfection of Wisdom and so forth are established. This is the assertion of teachers such as Chandrakirti, that the wisdom of the selflessness of persons exists, but the wisdom of the selflessness of phenomena does not exist, because even by knowing selflessness for a moment, one can

Saying that afflictions will be eliminated refers to others. Like this, this and also this, and again this, these three. Here, these three states are completely and fully shown. As stated in the treatise, here it is said to summarize the three kinds of knowledge, starting with "again" and so on. The so-called "Prajnaparamita" refers to the knowledge of all aspects, the knowledge of the path, and the knowledge of all things. The so-called "like this" refers to the previously briefly mentioned mind generation and so on. The so-called "this and" refers to the detailed explanation of the above, that is, the first chapter, seven and a half chapters, and two and a half chapters, in order. The so-called "there is no dharma at all" refers to the combination of that mind. The so-called "to cause to enter" means to place close to the object of focus. The so-called "definitely cause to enter" means to abide in its very nature, thereby perfecting quiescence. The so-called "truly show" means to make it manifest. The so-called "definitely show" refers to the qualities and differences. The so-called "completely obtain" means to draw with the dharma that has become the fruit. The so-called "definitely obtain" means that it itself has the aspect of ultimate completion. The so-called "no" means that in all places, in all places, there is no attachment to all dharmas. Here it is said how the gods acted after hearing the teaching, that is, starting from "thereafter" and so on, the great crowd arose joy, made noise and sang, scattered and threw themselves, in order to praise. The so-called "this is not turning the wheel of Dharma" means that both are unattainable. The so-called "to any" means that one is not attached to or attached to anything other than the wheel of Dharma, and therefore is free from attachment. If there is anything to be attached to, it is that one will not manifest enlightenment. Since nothing is mentioned, there is nothing that exists, so nothing will be truly shown to anything, and there is no dharma with a pure aspect. The so-called "not manifestly established" means not born. Dharma refers to all afflicted dharmas, while samadhis such as emptiness are called pure dharmas. The so-called "show" refers to the showing of ultimate truth. The place of giving
