Third Chapter: Explaining Omniscience. Third Chapter: Explaining Omniscience. After showing the All-Aspect Knowing in the first chapter, the seven and a half chapters explain the non-path. With incompatible antidotes, conjunction and its equality, and the teachings of the Shravakas, there are eight of these. Until when is it before? With wisdom, not dwelling in existence; with compassion, not dwelling in peace; distant by non-means; not distant by means. With incompatible antidotes, conjunction and its equality, and the path of seeing of the Shravakas, etc., all such are considered to be omniscience. It is said, therefore, in the treatise: Not on this shore or the other shore, not dwelling in between them, in order to know the equality of all times, it is called Prajnaparamita. It is said. What is called Prajnaparamita is omniscience. What is called not on this shore is Samsara. What is called not on the other shore is Nirvana. Not dwelling in between them means that the three are not perceived. Why is that? Because it is said to know the equality of the three times. By the nature of Dharma, the three times are equal. The nature of all Dharmas is such that nothing can be grasped. This is what is asked, the Blessed One, etc. What is called "that" refers to the general explanation before. What is called "this" refers to explaining the distinction of omniscience. Therefore, it is said "long ago" because it is entering into distinction or it is the time of distinction. Or why does it not dwell? Because it is far away, the three are harmed by being unperceivable. The Blessed One explained the reason with "because it is extremely pure," etc., meaning that all Dharmas are extremely pure by the nature of emptiness of self-nature. The Shravakas do not only seek the cessation of their own suffering, they are very tired of fully understanding Samsara, and they are very happy to fully understand Nirvana, wanting to quickly attain Nirvana. The Bodhisattva is like that.

It is not, but abides desiring the unsurpassed Byanchub for the benefit of all sentient beings. It is said in the scriptures: 'That is with signs, from the object of focus, because it is not a means, it is far away.' It is said that focusing on what is with signs is not a means, therefore it is far away. That is what is said to Rabjor and others. 'De Kang' is even further than names and signs. 'Will be abandoned' means abandoned, that is, attached to names. 'Will make it far away' refers to signs, from which it becomes far away. It is said in the scriptures: 'That is by the skillful in means, explained as truly near.' It means that entering without truly clinging is skillful in means, therefore it becomes near. That is what is said as 'Thus it is said' and so on. Clinging is attachment to names and signs. That is completely understood. Because the meaning of those is not truly there. Well said, refers to the sixteen moments of the path of seeing. Well shown, refers to the twelve links. Extremely ultimate, because it does not abide in samsara and nirvana. Extremely pure, because it has abandoned the extremes of clinging. 'To whom' refers to that. 'Is' is a particle of speech. 'Name' is wonderful. 'This also' refers to clinging, which will also be explained below. Abandoning clinging is skillful in means, therefore it becomes near. After the common nature of clinging has also been shown, the difference will be explained, therefore it is said in the scriptures: 'Form, etc., aggregates emptiness, three times, the realized dharmas, generosity, etc., Bodhi aspects, the thought of practice, dissimilar qualities.' It means that form, etc., are all dharmas. Aggregates are collections, that is, their emptiness. Three times refers to the dharmas of the three times. The word 'practice' is a synonym for behavior. For the objects of the other shore and the Bodhi side, the thought or sign of what is practiced, that is a dissimilar quality. That dissimilar quality is the meaning of having clinging. From then on, having life and
