Third Chapter: Explanation of the Nature of All-Knowingness. Third Chapter: Explanation of the Nature of All-Knowingness. Since the perfect understanding of all paths also depends on the nature of all-knowingness, the all-knowingness with the characteristics of truth is explained first. This shore, the other shore, not the edge, In that truth does not reside, In order to know the equality of all times, Therefore, it is considered to be the perfection of wisdom. This is what it says. By realizing the equality of all phenomena of the three times as being without origination from the beginning, with the truth of wisdom and compassion, the cycle of this shore and the other shore, and the characteristics of permanence and cessation of Nirvana, and because it does not reside between them, it is considered the perfection of wisdom of the all-knowingness of truth. This is because the Shravakas and others do not have the knowledge of the equality of the three times, and they are exhausted in the perfection of wisdom only by their own realization, so they are separated from wisdom and compassion, and only by focusing on existence and non-existence, they are shown to dwell on the edge of existence and peace. If one asks, what is the characteristic of non-dwelling, does the perfection of wisdom become distant or near to it? He himself states the reason. He is far away because of the door of focusing on characteristics, because he does not have skillful means, He is said to be truly close by those who are skilled in skillful means. This is what it says. Just as many ordinary people, because they do not know the suchness of the dependent arising of illusion, become attached to each object, the Shravakas and others, because they are separated from the skillful means of the true spiritual friend, etc., are far away from this mother of no characteristics through the door of focusing on the characteristics of name and meaning on things. Just as the magician himself is not deluded by the meaning of falsehood, so he does not cling to it extremely, the Bodhisattva dwells in peace for a long time, because he truly pleases the spiritual friend who is proficient in that nature, etc., who has the characteristics of skillful means, with the profound wisdom of hearing, etc., those who have removed the characteristics of false discrimination on things, in accordance with the way things truly abide, are truly close to this victorious mother.

It has been explained. What is it that becomes the object of long-term attachment? What is that? Thus, it is said that the perception of the unfavorable side is: Form, etc., the aggregates are emptiness, The dharmas included in the three times, Generosity, etc., the aspects of enlightenment, The perception of practice is the unfavorable side. It is said thus. The aggregates such as form, perceiving them as empty of self, etc., which are imputed by others, and the dharmas included in the three times, such as the past, perceiving them as defiled, and perceiving the other in that, generosity, mindfulness, meditation, immeasurable, etc., the perception of practicing, although it is an antidote, it is an unfavorable side because it clings to the object as a sign. Again, what is it that becomes the close non-objectification? What is that? Thus, it is said that the antidote side of perception is: There is no attachment to generosity, etc., What others do to combine with that, That is to cut off the edge of attachment, Subtle attachment to kings, etc. It is said thus. Because of the purity of the three circles, understanding that there is no self or what belongs to self in the three, such as generosity, abiding in one's own nature, and others also truly combining with that same principle, in order to cut off all the edges of the collection of manifest attachment, it is an antidote in every way. Saying that all perceptions such as generosity should be abandoned, contemplating the Tathagata, etc., is also an antidote because it is the cause of merit, but because of perceiving it, it is not an unfavorable side because it is the nature of subtle attachment. Why is subtle attachment an unfavorable side? Explaining the reason for being far from the subtle nature of the object: The path of dharma is by nature, Because it is solitary, it is profound. It is said thus. The nature of all dharmas, like the sky, is praised as profound only by its own nature, and even the most subtle attachment does not abide closely to it. Therefore, the antidote that eliminates them is taught: By knowing that all dharmas are of one nature, attachment is eliminated. It is said thus. Only by the absence of self-nature, all dharmas such as form are of one nature.
