Falling is the cause of not being born and being trapped by the Dharma. After that, it is about the general statement of purity that is opportune: Fruits and so on, as well as form and so on, are purity, why? These two are not different, and because they are inseparable, they are called purity. Thus, the fruits of the noble ones are pure because they are separated from all incompatible aspects. That is the purity of form and so on. The purity of fruits and form and so on is well distinguished because it is separated from attachment to self and so on. Why? The purity of these is not different and inseparable by the names of self and common characteristics. Therefore, it is said to be pure in this way. After that, there is a separate statement about purity: Because of the loss of afflictions, knowable objects, and the three paths, the purity of disciples, solitary realizers, and bodhisattvas is, the Buddhas are all extremely pure. Abandoning the afflictions such as desire related to the view of self is the purity of the Shravakas; abandoning one aspect of the obscurations of knowledge related to the view of what is to be grasped is the purity of the Pratyekabuddhas; abandoning the three obscurations of the three vehicles' paths related to the view of self and phenomena is the purity of the Bodhisattvas. Abandoning all afflictions and obscurations of knowledge and their habitual tendencies related to all views is the purity of the perfectly pure and complete Buddhas. How to examine whether the obscurations of purity of Bodhisattvas and Buddhas are pure? The method of elimination is explained by what is to be abandoned by the nine antidotes: On the nine grounds, the great, the great and so on, the stains of, the antidote of the small, the small and so on, the path is purity. The desire realm and the four dhyanas and the four formless absorptions are the nine grounds. On the nine grounds, in nine ways such as the small of the small, the nine kinds of stains such as the great of the great of the incompatible aspects are eliminated in order, just as the washer removes the fine stains on the clothes.

It is like striving in the great field and so forth. Why is the purity of the perfectly enlightened Buddhas said to be extremely excellent? Because the complete characteristic of the unsurpassed antidote to all that remains has been proclaimed. Regarding this, by abandoning disputes, 'The path is the measure and what is to be measured, by equality, it is of the three realms, it is considered the true antidote.' This is (its meaning). In the equality of all dharmas, abandoning and antidote are unreasonable, and similarly, abandoning and what should be taken, attainment and realization are not allowed, etc., these disputes are completely eliminated through the path relying on the two truths. Therefore, the equality of the Buddhas, which is the knowledge and what is to be known in the aspect of the three realms, is considered to be the completely perfect purity that is the complete antidote to all defilements by means of non-apprehension. The commentary on the second chapter from the commentary on the Abhisamayalankara, the treatise on the key instructions of the Perfection of Wisdom, called 'Garland of the Lamp of Wisdom,' is completed. Second Chapter: Commentary on Sarvakarajnata (All-Aspects-Knowing).
