If all sentient beings with such a state are placed in the fruit of stream-entry, it is not as good as placing one sentient being in the noble state of non-retrogression, because it is said that doing so increases merit even more. Among the nine praises, the first is an example of the once-returner. The second is an example of the non-returner. The third is an example of the Arhat. The fourth is an example of the Pratyekabuddha. The fifth is if one encourages all sentient beings in Jambudvipa to attain unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment, it is not as good as placing one sentient being in the ground of non-retrogression, which is an example of greatly increasing merit. The sixth is taking the sentient beings of the four continents as an example, making such an analogy. The seventh is taking the sentient beings of the thousand-fold world as an example, stating it in this way. The eighth is combining the sentient beings of the intermediate two-thousand world and the great three-thousand world realms, and the sentient beings of the ten directions, with the previous examples. The ninth is starting from Jambudvipa, each of the ten directions having world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, placing all these sentient beings in the ground of non-retrogression is not as good as teaching this Mother of the Buddhas in order to quickly manifest perfect enlightenment for a non-returner, which shows that doing so is even more meritorious. The so-called dedication and mental application is to dedicate these virtues to twelve different objects, and with these twelve collections, may I become the king of Dharma, and also dedicate to twelve places where dedication should be made. The remaining parts are easy to understand. The explanation of the second chapter is complete. Explanation of the Second Chapter
