Explanation of the Second Chapter. Explanation of the Second Chapter. Thus, the verses of the first chapter have been completely explained. Now, in order to explain the second chapter, it is said, "Realizing omniscience is impossible without knowing the path, so it is said to know the path," etc. It is meant that knowing the path is its cause. In order to know that it arises only in the lineage that has destroyed pride, here both pride and depression are eliminated, and it is not possessed by any of the arising paths, just as in the Manifestation Sutra, it is taken as an example of how King Śuddhodana generated the path. Here, the gods are not depressed, but they possess pride, so it is abandoned. The so-called expression of the support by the side of the words is the meaning of what is said in the sutra. In the verses, it is said, "In order to please the gods," thus it is only directly shown. In the sutra, the Blessed One actually showed the inconceivable light from the ten inconceivable great powers, and showed the support by the side. Those who are free from desire, the noble Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, arise from the realm of peace. In another case, Bodhisattvas are from now on. The so-called not completely abandoning all defilements means that Bodhisattvas are direct. Those who arise from the Buddhas generating Bodhicitta, like the Śākya woman Mātṛ, etc., are skilled in using skillful means, and show as if they have not abandoned defilements for the benefit of beings, so this is reasonable. The so-called Bodhicitta should be fully understood in this way does not mean that it is necessary to specifically or separately practice it, but in order to understand that one is fully equipped with these qualities on the path. As it is said in the sutra, "Śāriputra, what is the wisdom and abandonment of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, that is the great Bodhisattva who has obtained the forbearance of non-arising dharmas." Among them, there are also two types of obtaining the forbearance of non-arising dharmas: not distinguishing the aspect of satisfaction and the immovable ground. The reason not seen by the valid person is reasonable.

The so-called "through those," this shows the validity of the scriptures. For example, the scriptures say, "I sat at the Bodhi tree and did not see any dharma arising or ceasing." The so-called "conforms to the true object and is able to determine," is like using a weapon to strike a person, first penetrating the armor, and then piercing the person you want to strike. The scriptures say that the Shravakas need to rely on the teachings of others to realize Bodhi. As it is said in the Holy Bodhisattva Pitaka, "The liberation of the Shravakas, the sound goes outward." That is why they are called "disciples," because they must have a teacher. The scriptures also say, "Others also cause people to enter into virtue by teaching the Dharma that includes words." This is like "because they proclaim what is heard, they are called 'hearers and proclaimers'." The so-called "before" refers to up to a hundred kalpas. "Beru is the cause of a hundred kalpas." As it is said. The so-called "realizing Bodhi by oneself" means through the power of conditions. As it is said, "Pratyekabuddhas are knowers of conditions." Abandoning refers to knowing that external objects, which are the objects of grasping, are without self-nature. For example, knowing that things like non-existence and water repeatedly perish, it is easy to realize. From this alone, it is shown that one aspect of realizing the Dharma is non-self. The so-called "skillfully showing that it does not contradict the imputed nature of Dharma" is because imputation also does not completely transcend the Dharmadhatu. The so-called "scriptures that express the meaning in verse form and are dedicated to explanation" do not say "from that, those are aspects," but say "through the wisdom of the path, in an instant." Therefore, it does not explain how many aspects there are in the path of seeing, but only briefly expresses the sixteen moments of the path of seeing in verse form. I think the difference in aspects is only shown when all aspects are fully realized. The previous explanation was "object and aspect," and so on. What is not explained is the following "form is impermanent, not...
