A Summary of All Meanings. A Summary of All Meanings. In Sanskrit: Abhisamaya Alankara Karika Prajnaparamitopadesha Shastra Tika Prasannapada Nama. In Tibetan: The Treatise on the Perfection of Wisdom, the Instruction Manual, the Ornament of Clear Realization, a Commentary in Verse, Called 'Words Clearly Explained'. I prostrate to the Bhagavati Mother, the Perfection of Wisdom, who has become the mother of all noble beings, and to the sons, the Buddhas, the Bodhisattvas, and all the noble ones who are free from desire. The mother who gives birth to noble beings, the nature of non-dual wisdom. I prostrate to the Victorious Ones and their sons, the mother, the profound one. This treatise is vast and profound, the entrance to all, so it is difficult to go to the other shore. It is difficult to go well and its depths cannot be found, so it cannot be fathomed by those like me. This is composed without wonder or blame for the learned ones. What skillful means of benefiting myself should I abandon my own effort? By realizing it, the Victorious Ones and their sons bow at its feet with the jewel of the crown of the lord of the gods. And previously enjoying the vast and inexhaustible bliss of higher realms. It perfectly saves from the terrible, chilling, hair-raising, and unbearable abyss of the lower realms. Like the wish-fulfilling tree of the gods, it makes noble beings happy, who would not rely on it? Therefore, noble beings, with the great chariot drawn by the chariot of reason and the wheel of scripture. Having trained on the perilous path, abiding in a stable place, on one of the greatly flourishing branches of the great wish-fulfilling tree. Having grasped it well, one obtains the desired fruit, full of flavor, like nectar, through effort. The wise should understand that whatever is used here is well used for one's own benefit. The Bhagavan Shakya King, with a heart moistened by compassion, in order to establish all beings in higher realms and definite goodness, taught the Dharma in accordance with their respective dispositions, as many as eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma. Among them, the most excellent, the most outstanding, the most important, and the most essential is the Perfection of Wisdom. For there is no meaning that is not included therein. Among them, some focus on the essential meaning of the ultimate truth, which is the noble wisdom.

Such as the heart essence of the Prajñāpāramitā. There are also some objects of realization that mainly arise from the meaning of the two truths, such as the Mother of the Buddhas, the Hundred Thousand Verses. Among them, the meaning of the heart essence is clearly explained in many profound sutras. The noble Nāgārjuna has also definitively established the meaning of the scriptures in works such as the Madhyamaka-prajñā, thus eliminating doubts and making it accessible to later generations. However, when the realization is explained, it is so vast and profound that most practitioners become like lost guests, falling into a state of extreme confusion. Therefore, the noble Maitreya, who attained enlightenment in one lifetime, saw those beings who were extremely ignorant and had no direction. In order to make the door of the Prajñāpāramitā visible to them, he kept all the Mothers of the Buddhas in his mind. In order to make it easy for them to understand those difficult points, he composed this treatise that explains the vast meaning of the scriptures in an easy way, such as "Those who seek peace, the Śrāvakas, are led to peace by the omniscient wisdom." Therefore, this is a manual of instructions. Compared to this, the sutras are not manuals, because they do not provide direct guidance to practitioners, but only serve as an auxiliary means to generate understanding after a long period of study. Nevertheless, in order to enable those who are dull-witted and have not been trained before to quickly understand these instructions, the teacher, with "Homage to the Prajñāpāramitā," etc., explained these brief instructions in a way that makes it easy to understand their meaning. In this way, through three stages, the meaning of the Mother of the Buddhas has been fully established. However, for those who are extremely weak in intelligence, or those who are not good at relying on virtuous friends, but only want to understand the meaning of the Mother of the Buddhas by relying on their own speculative wisdom and are filled with arrogance, I have written this condensed version of the commentary. Therefore, the order.
