If it is accomplishment, then without it, it is not accomplishment. From these, being completely liberated, all phenomena such as form, are unrelated to the cause of being named by characteristics such as blue, and are the state of the nature of phenomena that is unmixed, until here. Because it goes to the permanent place without manifest clinging, it is definitely liberation, and without it, it is not definitely liberation. Because there are none of these, therefore it is emptiness, therefore for the nature of what is to be said and what is said, for the two, knowable and sound, there is no arising of knowledge, that is truly because there is no what is to be said and what is said, therefore it is not the object of their knowledge, but the state of the nature of the Dharmadhatu, until here. This explains that among the sixteen aspects of the four truths such as suffering, among those previously explained, what is the dharma of two aspects for each truth, and what is the subsequent knowledge, are conventional truths, and should be regarded as two knowledges. Among them, what is the dharma that is imperceptible, such as permanence and impermanence, suffering and non-suffering, and what is the knowledge of those, that is the forbearance of the knowledge of the dharma of suffering and the knowledge of the dharma of suffering. Similarly, what is the subsequent knowledge of the imperceptible such as self and non-self, emptiness and non-emptiness, those are the forbearance of the knowledge of the subsequent dharma and the knowledge of the subsequent dharma. Similarly, for each of the arising and so on, also combined with four knowledges, there are sixteen knowledges. Others say that these knowledges are also the aspects of permanence and impermanence and so on that are imperceptible, by the power of arising on the object of the four truths, it should be understood that they are the aspects of permanence and impermanence and so on. According to the Hinayana and other schools, what is the dharma of impermanence and suffering, and what is the knowledge of those, that is the forbearance of the knowledge of the dharma of suffering and the knowledge of the dharma of suffering. What is the subsequent knowledge of emptiness and selflessness, and what is the knowledge of those, those are the forbearance of the knowledge of the subsequent dharma and the knowledge of the subsequent dharma.

Just as origination and so on, each paired with four kinds of knowledge, makes sixteen kinds of knowledge. Others say that here, too, by the force of the meaning of arising in the realm of the four truths with aspects such as impermanence, all knowledges should also be understood as aspects of the four truths. This is because it has already been said, "Having such aspects," and so on. In the presence of the noble Maitreya and Sīhabhadra, it is said that even if my three realms do not show knowledge and aspects, what I have not shown also comes by its force and is meaningful. Knowledge is also of the nature of the object, so for those who say there is an external object and knowledge, it is a valid means of cognition, so there is no fault. If it is said that in the knowledge of the path, just as in all knowledge, the paths of meditation of the Śrāvakas and Bodhisattvas are different, then? Because it has already been said, "In all knowledge," and so on. The meaning is this: the perfection of the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas is to be passed through by the knowledge of the Bodhisattvas, because it is not to be done directly, so the path of meditation is shown to the Bodhisattvas, while the Śrāvakas and others, how the meaning of what is completely seen is repeatedly made manifest, is the path of meditation, because it is easy to understand, so it is not shown. The parts of the Bodhisattvas that are in accordance with the determination should also be known as what was said before. When the Śrāvakas and others focus on the four truths with aspects such as impermanence, the warmth and so on of the nature of the contaminated meditation are clear, so it should be understood without being shown. After explaining in detail in this way, with "already shown," and so on, it is a summary of the meaning of the characteristics of the eight realizations, because it is the main one. The three aspects of omniscience are summarized, as it is said, and this is said from the Mother Sutra. In the knowledge of the path, the path of the Śrāvakas and others is spoken of, has not all knowledge already been spoken of? Why is all knowledge shown separately again? It should be said that it is: In the principle of the knowledge of the path, the noble truths

Through the four (ways). Through the gate of non-apprehension of characteristics. This Shravaka path should be known. Thus, it is said that Bodhisattvas should cultivate the Shravaka and other paths through the sequence of meditating on non-apprehension of characteristics, etc. Therefore, in order to fully understand all the bases abandoned through the gate of reversing characteristics such as impermanence, omniscience is separately mentioned. From the Ornament of Clear Realization, a treatise on the key points of the Perfection of Wisdom, in the difficult commentary on the appearance of the difficult to understand text of the Lion Good Teacher, made by Dharmakirti, the explanation of the third chapter is completed.
