What is endowed with the understanding that all phenomena are unborn? It is the perfectly enlightened body, the sovereign of yogis, who, as an antidote to their practices, turns all the remaining wheels of Dharma. I pay homage to that object of accomplishment, surrounded by Buddhas, Śrāvakas, and others. Thus, preceding the salutation and praise, the author compiles one of the bases, antidotes, and aspects of the Abhisamayālaṅkāra. If according to the first method, then the effort would be meaningless, because from this Prajñāpāramitā, no basis that is not mentioned in the characteristic treatises can arise. If according to the second method, then because only pure phenomena are compiled, and impure phenomena are not compiled, it will not be possible to understand what this is an antidote to. If according to the third method, then because only baseless aspects are compiled, there will be no understanding of the meaning. Therefore, others might think: Is it not meaningless because there is no explanation at all? But that is not the case! Why? Because Śrāvakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and unsurpassed Buddhas, in that order, have compiled all the realizations with the three omniscient ones, so all three aspects are also compiled. Thus, in the Mother Sutra, Subhuti! All-knowingness is that of the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Path-knowingness is that of the Bodhisattvas. All-aspect-knowingness is that of the Tathāgata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One. Blessed One! Why is all-knowingness that of the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas? Subhuti! All internal and external phenomena are only this much, and only the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas know them, but not all paths, nor all aspects, so all-knowingness is called that of the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Blessed One! Why is path-aspect-knowingness that of the Bodhisattvas? Subhuti! Bodhisattvas
