Subhuti asked: World Honored One, in what manner and how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, when practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, study the five aggregates of grasping? The World Honored One said: Subhuti, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he knows form well, he knows the arising of form well, he knows the cessation of form well, and he knows what the suchness of form is like. How does one know form? For example, like a mass of foam without essence, extremely sparse, extremely scattered, and extremely without essence, one knows well, thus one knows form. How does one know the arising and ceasing of form? Form has no coming from anywhere and no going to anywhere, therefore it does not come from anywhere, nor does it go to anywhere, from wherever it has not come, one knows that it has never gone, thus one knows the form of

and destruction are known. How does one know the suchness of form? The suchness of form is unborn, unceasing, without coming, without going, not completely afflicted, not completely purified, not decreasing, not increasing, not inverted, abiding in suchness. Therefore, it is called suchness. Thus, one knows the suchness of form. How does one know feeling? It is known like the arising and ceasing of water bubbles gathering in water. Thus, one knows feeling. How does one know the arising and destruction of feeling? Feeling does not come from anywhere, nor does it go anywhere.
