It is the Mahāyāna of the great Bodhisattva. Furthermore, Shariputra, the venerable one, the Mahāyāna of the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva does not allow understanding of what is called permanent. Impermanence, happiness, suffering, self, non-self, peace, non-peace, emptiness, non-emptiness, having signs, not having signs, having aspirations, not having aspirations, are not allowed to be understood. Shariputra, the venerable one, this is the Mahāyāna of the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva. Furthermore, Shariputra, the venerable one, the Mahāyāna of the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva does not allow understanding of the past time. It does not allow understanding of the future and present times. These three, not allowing understanding in a way that does not focus on these three, this is, Shariputra, the venerable one, the Mahāyāna of the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva. Furthermore, Shariputra, the venerable one, the Mahāyāna of the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva does not allow understanding in the desire realm. It does not allow understanding in the form and formless realms. That which does not focus on the desire, form, and formless realms in a way that allows understanding, this is the Mahāyāna of the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva. Furthermore, Shariputra, the venerable one, the Mahāyāna of the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva does not allow understanding of worldly and transcendental dharmas, defiled and undefiled, conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. It is not that it does not know worldly and transcendental dharmas. That which does not allow understanding in a way that does not focus on defiled and undefiled, conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, this is the Mahāyāna of the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, this is called the application of non-focusing. Entering the complete purification of the three circles. Shariputra said: Venerable one, by what measure is a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva said to have entered the Mahāyāna? Gangpo said: Venerable Shariputra, in this Bodhisattva

When a great Bodhisattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, even if he ascends to the Perfection of Giving, he does not cling to the Perfection of Giving, because he does not cling to the giver, the receiver, and the gift. In this way, without clinging, then, Venerable Shariputra, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is called ascending to the Great Vehicle. Similarly, when practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, even if he ascends to the Perfection of Morality, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, and the Perfection of Meditation, he does not cling to them. When practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, even if he ascends to the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not cling to the Perfection of Wisdom, does not cling to the Bodhisattva, and does not cling to the mental activity. In this way, without clinging, then, Venerable Shariputra, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is called ascending to the Great Vehicle. This is called entering the purity of the three spheres. Engaging in specific activities. Venerable Shariputra, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, with an unmixed mental activity endowed with all-knowingness, for the purpose of destroying meditation, meditates on the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment in a way that does not cling to them. Shariputra, in this way, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is called ascending to the Great Vehicle. Shariputra, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, with an unmixed mental activity endowed with all-knowingness, for the purpose of destroying meditation, meditates on emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness samadhis in a way that does not cling to them. Shariputra, in this way, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is called ascending to the Great Vehicle. Shariputra, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, with an unmixed mental activity endowed with all-knowingness, for the purpose of destroying meditation, meditates on the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the unshared qualities of the Buddha in a way that does not cling to them.
