The Practice of Entering. The Practice of Entering. The entering that possesses entering into meditative stabilization and the formless meditative attainments. Furthermore, Shariputra, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva enters into the meditative stabilizations, but does not experience the taste of the meditative stabilizations. They are not carried away by them, nor are they born by their power. Similarly, they enter into the immeasurable and formless meditative attainments, but do not experience their taste. They are not carried away by them, nor are they born by their power. This is to be known as the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva possessing skillful means and endowed with the Perfection of Wisdom. Furthermore, Shariputra, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides in the meditative stabilizations, the immeasurable, and the formless meditative attainments, seeing emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, but does not proceed to the ultimate limit of reality. This is the great armor of skillful means for the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing the Perfection of Wisdom. Shariputra, thus, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is called a Mahasattva because they have donned the great armor. Shariputra, when the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has thus donned the great armor, the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-arhats of the ten directions, praise and extol, and proclaim their names, saying, "In such and such a world, there is such a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who has donned the great armor, who ripens sentient beings, purifies the Buddha-fields, and sports with miraculous powers," making such sounds, and the voices resound. This is the conclusion of the sixth armor. The practice of armor has been shown. Shariputra said: "Reverend Gangpo, by what measure does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva truly enter the Great Vehicle and ascend to the Great Vehicle?" Gangpo said: "Reverend Shariputra, in this case, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva

Furthermore, when engaging in the perfection of generosity, and being secluded from desires, secluded from sinful and unwholesome dharmas, with initial application and sustained application, the first dhyana, which is born of seclusion and has joy and pleasure, is cultivated and dwelt in. Likewise, the second dhyana, the third dhyana, and the fourth dhyana are cultivated and dwelt in. Likewise, the sphere of infinite space, the sphere of infinite consciousness, the sphere of nothingness, and the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception are entered into. These are the dhyanas and formless absorptions of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. When a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva engages in the perfection of generosity with these dhyanas and formless absorptions, and when arising from and abiding in equipoise with the aspect, sign, and characteristic of space, that root of virtue is also completely dedicated to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. This is the perfection of generosity of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Likewise, the perfection of ethical discipline, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, and the perfection of meditation should also be spoken of. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva engages in the perfection of wisdom, they enter into the four dhyanas. They also enter into the four formless absorptions. When a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides in these dhyanas and formless absorptions, and when they possess the ability to enter into these dhyanas and formless absorptions, by attending to the aspect, sign, and characteristic of space, they engage in the perfection of wisdom, and with that root of virtue and also with the attention that possesses all aspects of knowledge, having made it common with all sentient beings, they completely dedicate it to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. This is the perfection of wisdom of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Shariputra, likewise, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva

Thus, practicing the six perfections is to enter fully into the Great Vehicle. It also brings all sentient beings to complete maturity. It also makes the Buddha-fields completely pure. This is called the practice of meditative concentration and absorption in the formless realms, which is in accordance with absorption. The practice of the six perfections. Shariputra, furthermore, when a bodhisattva mahasattva, with the intention of possessing all-knowing wisdom, teaches the Dharma in order to completely abandon the afflictions of all sentient beings, this is the perfection of generosity of a bodhisattva mahasattva. When a bodhisattva mahasattva, with the intention of possessing all-knowing wisdom, engages in meditative concentration, the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions, and arises from them, and does not differentiate between the minds of shravakas or pratyekabuddhas, or the generation of other minds, this is the perfection of discipline of a bodhisattva mahasattva, without holding anything as supreme. When a bodhisattva mahasattva, with the intention of possessing all-knowing wisdom, abides in meditative concentration, the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions, thinking, "In order to exhaust the afflictions of all sentient beings, I will teach the Dharma," and thinks and intends in this way, and generates desire, patience, near-contemplation, realization, and determination for these, this is the perfection of patience of a bodhisattva mahasattva. When a bodhisattva mahasattva, with the intention of possessing all-knowing wisdom, practices meditative concentration, the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions, for the sake of the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings, and for the sake of all-knowing wisdom, without abandoning diligence, this is the perfection of diligence of a bodhisattva mahasattva. When a bodhisattva mahasattva, with the intention of possessing all-knowing wisdom, engages in meditative concentration and absorption in the formless realms,
