When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva engages in the Prajnaparamita, the perception of sentient beings does not arise. Why is that? Because it is the nature of things that is unborn and unceasing, therefore sentient beings are truly unborn and unceasing. How can that which is unborn and unceasing also engage in the Prajnaparamita? Shariputra, thus, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices engages in the Prajnaparamita because sentient beings are unborn. He engages in the Prajnaparamita because of the emptiness of sentient beings. He engages in the Prajnaparamita because sentient beings are imperceptible. He engages in the Prajnaparamita because sentient beings are secluded. Shariputra, this is the supreme yoga of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, namely, the yoga of emptiness. It overcomes and abides in the yogas that are not emptiness. Shariputra, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who engages in this yoga manifests great love, manifests great compassion, does not generate a mind of stinginess, does not generate a mind of bad morality, does not generate a mind of harm, does not generate a mind of laziness, does not generate a mind of distraction, and does not generate a mind of bad wisdom. This is called the instruction to the Dharma Jewel. Instruction to the Dharma Jewel.
