For the sake of this meaning, it is said thus: These are what I have spoken, so that you may understand. Having wrong views about the discordant aspects and the opposing aspects, that is, noble son, starting from "Here, what is form?" and up to "all-knowingness," all those dharmas, for these noble dharma and discipline, are neither corresponding nor non-corresponding. In order to gather sentient beings, they are expressed by worldly terms. Those who are designated as hearers and knowers and seers of all-knowingness, should not realize them, or rather, should realize them. Starting from "not having desire, nor being without desire," subduing afflictions is what is called the noble dharma and discipline. Starting from "not having the four dhyanas, nor being without the four dhyanas," for all the dharmas of realization, they are neither corresponding nor non-corresponding. Why is that? Because, all those dharmas are formless, invisible, unimpeded, thus, with signlessness as their sign, they are the same. Those formless, invisible, and so on, and formless, invisible, and so on, together with them, are neither corresponding nor non-corresponding, this is because of this reason. Having wrong views about characteristics, that is, here, formless, invisible, unimpeded, with signlessness as their sign, after studying in the unique Prajnaparamita, because the characteristics of all dharmas are unobtainable, so if one studies the characteristics of all dharmas, then the actions of hearers and so on cannot be transcended. All dharmas are signless, and one should not study signlessness with the characteristics of formlessness, invisibility, and unimpededness. Why is that? If what was previously signless, later becomes signed, that is not possible. Because of this reason, the study of signs and signlessness is prohibited. Why is that? Whether the Tathagatas appear or not, the nature of signlessness

This indicates that it is because of the reason of "abiding in suchness." The wrong notion about the path of meditation is that if all dharmas are without characteristics, having a single characteristic, then practicing it would not be suitable for practicing prajnaparamita, surpassing the shravakas, etc., and there would be no entering into the faultless state of a bodhisattva, etc. Since both the single characteristic and the multiple characteristics are negated, thus practicing in this way is without characteristics, which has been shown. If asked, "How is it?" this is the question posed. Meditating on the form aggregate, the meditation itself is prajnaparamita, and similarly, feelings, etc., forms, etc., eye consciousness, etc., the contact arising from their gathering, etc., the feelings arising from their causes, etc., the six elements of earth, etc., dependent origination, and its limbs, suffering, etc., the nature of practice and abandonment, taking and discarding, and the dhyanas such as the first dhyana, loving-kindness, compassion, joy, equanimity, and the formless absorptions, from the six recollections onwards, up to the expedient recollections, impermanence, suffering, the thought of no-self, the thought of self and sentient beings, etc., permanence and impermanence, pleasure and pain, peace and non-peace, the four mindfulnesses, etc., the limbs of enlightenment, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, the hundred liberations, the nine successive abidings, with investigation and analysis, without investigation but only analysis, and the samadhi without investigation and without analysis, the four noble truths, suffering, origin, cessation, path, knowing exhaustion and non-arising, dharma, following, conventional, familiarity, knowing according to the sound, and the paramitas, etc., all emptiness, superknowledges, samadhi, dharani gates, powers, fearlessnesses, and the individual

Furthermore, truly knowing, as well as the Buddha's unmixed dharmas, dharanis, and all the doors of samadhi, great love, and great compassion, the fruits such as entering the stream, self-enlightenment, and all-knowingness, as well as abandoning all afflictions connected by karmic imprints, meditating, and meditating thoroughly, is indeed meditating on the Prajnaparamita. The mention of meditation is to summarize the three aspects of all-knowingness, and to be the master of the extensive Abhisamaya. It is to know the path of meditation as taught. The mention of thorough meditation is to understand the nature of the path of meditation as it is. The mention of the general characteristics of form, etc., and the many distinctions of self-characteristics, is to know them as the objects of the path of meditation beforehand. If asked how, the answer is that the form, etc., as mentioned, and all-knowingness, the non-meditation of the opposing side's karmic imprints, etc., is thus extensively showing non-existence. Why is that? Because, Subhuti, for one who has the thought of real entities, there is no meditation on the Prajnaparamita. Why is that? Because, as in real entities, there is "I," due to attachment to the two extremes. There is no meditation on all the opposing sides, and when the characteristics of existence and non-existence are asked, it is shown that those two are the characteristics of duality, and when duality and non-duality are asked, from the thought of form to the thought of the realm of the conditioned and unconditioned, after showing duality and non-duality in order, as much as there is duality, that much is real entity. As much as there is real entity, that much is conditioned. As much as there is conditioned, that much cannot be liberated from the suffering of sentient beings who have roots of virtue. One who has the thought of duality does not have all the pure dharmas such as giving. If that is the case, then for one who has the thought of non-existence, all pure dharmas will not be established. Subhuti, it is just so.
