In Tibetan: Extensive Ritual for Contemplating the Noble Goddess Tara. Homage to Goddess Tara! Having abandoned meaningless actions that could harm me, Going to a place that is stable in nature and completely solitary. There, my meditation room is very pleasing, Opening the door to the east, or having an auspicious door to the west. Well-built, decorated with four parts, Very even, the walls, top and bottom, all well plastered, Plastering with substances that shine like a reflection. With vajra-fragrant paints, universally paint green. This is the cleaning of the upper ground praised in the tantras. The lower part is only thoroughly pounded, Heavy objects that do not fall to the ground and fragrant scents, Mixed and repeatedly plastered, it becomes like a reflection. There, scatter fragrant flowers everywhere, Draw curtains and other decorations according to ability.

Upon arrival, one should evenly spread out the cushions or grass mats. This is the second room, a place of auspicious rest. In the middle of those two rooms, create a door; the room should be square and pleasing. Clean it like the first room, and let it be meaningful. The bathroom with a door is the third room. There, the room facing that one is the fourth room, and one should first build an auspicious and excellent door. In that room, place all of one's belongings and weapons. The inexhaustible items, mantra attendants, and wise individuals should be placed there by the learned. Matters of food should also be in that room, checking for cleanliness and always keeping it exposed to sunlight and moonlight. Thus, all four rooms should be built square. Build many stories, making it very tall. With particularly visible stone slabs and outward-protruding heights, one should divert kings, thieves, and other harmful elements. Relying on beings only brings about suffering; the Buddha did not say that happiness could arise from it. Therefore, the wise should not allow anyone to enter, meet, give, or gather, except for mantra attendants and the best of practice companions. With compassion, one should properly arrange and place the collection of weapons. Likewise, the door should be firmly secured and locked. This is the detailed classification of the dwelling. There, for the purpose of offerings by the mantra practitioner, one should prepare flowers, incense, sesame oil, fragrances, as well as musical instruments and other items, along with pleasing garlands, fans, mirrors, nail clippers, razors, common spices. For offerings and tormas, one should prepare meat, fish, grains, food, and all kinds of medicine. In short, one should place enjoyments there without having to look to the faces of others, and one should stay far away from the mixing of alcohol. To obtain the accomplishments of spirits and mantras, one may take from others. One should not summon for the sake of obtaining accomplishments; women and those who have not seen the mandala should be turned away by power from a great distance. Mantra attendants and the best of practice companions, in the great mandala, should have received empowerment, possess great compassion, be diligent, and possess wisdom.
