The Vase Ritual of the Noble Dravida. The Vase Ritual of the Noble Dravida. The teaching of the Vase Ritual of the Noble Dravida: In a cattle shed, a solitary tree, a temple, or a crossroads, or an empty house, a forest, draw a square, flat mandala of four cubits in size. Paint with various colors. The positions of the directional deities should be fully determined. Spread kusha grass on the four doors as well. Offer food and drink, including meat, wine, and radishes. Offer rice, and torma of many fruits. The vase should be the color of a red lotus, without black spots, adorned with jewels. Four vases filled with medicine, grains, and scented water. Seal the mouth with sprouts, wrap the neck with cloth. Recite a hundred times the mantras "raktam ka (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思)", "keli kili kili (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思)", etc. Place the mandala and its surroundings cleanly. Then offer scented oil, incense, etc. Place the vase, blessed by obstacles, facing east, on a comfortable seat in the center of the mandala. While reciting, bathe with each vase. In this way, one will be liberated from evil guidance. The name of the practitioner is unique. Not only does it destroy obstacles, but it is also beneficial to the king and his retinue, women, daughters, musicians, ordinary women, and merchants. It is also beneficial to farmers, the poor and destitute, those possessed by demons, those afflicted by contagious diseases, the demons of children, those who steal flowers and fruits. It can also eliminate nightmares, madness, and mental confusion, and even neutralize poison, and through this bath, one can be purified. Through the vase ritual that appears in the tantras, it is spoken for the purpose of pacifying sins. For the benefit of sentient beings, the Sugata has spoken of the bathing practice that purifies sins and pacifies inauspiciousness, which is well explained in the tantras of the bathing scriptures, and should be practiced with great diligence. Bathing increases the majesty of kings, and by accomplishing kingship, it creates great merit, and it pacifies the decline of merit, untimely death, and all sins, as well as the difficulties of women in childbirth, and for those who cannot well accomplish mantras, and to pacify diseases such as one-day contagious diseases, and for the pacification of long-term contagious diseases, this is auspicious. It can cure madness.

I, for the speaker, and the one who suppresses ghosts, strife, fierce arguments, pacifying the appearance of beings, it is auspicious for practitioners who are afflicted by obstacles. For those who rely on the king, women who desire children, women who do not desire a household, the wealthy, diviners, merchants, poor farmers, those whose strength has declined, bad dreams, children's ghosts, bloodsuckers, those filled with (hatred) in their hearts, those struck by elemental forces, also do (this ritual) to pacify all those afflicted by ghosts. First, the mantra practitioner should make smooth and beautiful vases from gold, silver, bronze, or clay, ensuring they are not broken, not chipped, not crooked, and that their shape is beautiful and very pleasing; these four points should be carefully observed. Since poor people cannot find vases made of gold, silver, and bronze, therefore, the vases made of clay should be very characteristic and red, as red as the color of a red lotus, like the color of coral, red lead, and cinnabar; four should be made. The ring at the base of the vases should be made with a width of one finger's breadth. The shape of the middle should be made like a begging bowl. The neck should be four fingers wide, and the outer edge of the top of the neck should be smooth, with a dimension of two fingers. The mouth should be smooth, with a dimension of four fingers. Vases that do not have characteristics, as well as those that are broken, chipped, black, and cracked, should be discarded. It is said that vases with complete characteristics are auspicious for the empowerment ritual. Without a mandala, the desired action cannot be quickly accomplished with just a vase, therefore, one should first examine before drawing the mandala. A cowshed, or the shade of a single tree, or a temple, or a crossroads, or an empty house, or even a forest, the mandala should be drawn in these places. The ground should be carefully examined and made very clean, and then lines should be drawn, making it a square of square dimensions, and it should be fixed with pegs. In its center, one who knows mantras should place a bathing area of two cubits high. The mandala is square, with four doors, the auspicious four doors decorating the ground.
