Homage to the Bhagavan Rodroje Nampa Jompa (Wrathful Destroyer Vajra). In a clear river, dense forest, riverbank, valley, cave, or any suitable place, choose a remote and peaceful monastery. The teacher should be proficient in scriptures, fond of Dharma, strictly observe precepts, be easy to get along with, compassionate, have received mandala initiation, enjoy mandala and other activities, have few affairs and small desires, have obtained signs and achievements of the fruit of mantra, and the practice companion should be of noble origin, practice Dharma, have faith, be strong-willed and diligent, be honest and trustworthy, be respectful, be neither too tall nor too short, neither too fat nor too thin, be able to endure hunger and thirst and suffering, be firm, recite mantras and understand vows, be kind-hearted and not discouraged, and not abandon noble behavior even when tempted by others. After making the mandala together, sit on a comfortable seat. It is best to offer fragrant flowers, incense mixed with roots and stems, saffron and other fragrances, all kinds of medicinal pills, snow and heat, and all kinds of flavors, all of which should be offered to the Vajra family along with grains. Thus, after explaining the materials for the practice, the characteristics of the body, speech, and mind of the practice are explained: One must not step over Buddha images, mudras, and inferior beings. One must not smear the body with oil. One must not eat radishes, garlic, salt, sour tastes, and things with unpleasant odors. One must not lie, slander, or speak nonsense. One must not sing, laugh, play, or laugh endlessly. One must not engage in meaningless talk or argue with heretics. One must not associate with outcastes, inferior people, or quarrel. One must not generate hatred towards gods and sages. One must not create mantras on one's own. One must not despise evil people. One must not slander the guru and vajra brothers out of hatred. One must not show off supernatural powers. After relying on the limbs of practice in this way, the daily behavior of the body is to bathe three times a day, reciting several times Oṃ (oṃ, seed syllable, body purification), Hūṃ (hūṃ, seed syllable, wisdom), Hana (hana, Sanskrit transliteration, destroy), Vajra (vajra, Sanskrit transliteration, vajra), Ṇiha (ṇiha, Sanskrit transliteration, take away), Sa (sa, seed syllable, emptiness).
