It is of other lifetimes. If merely hearing this Dharma can produce such benefits, then what need is there to mention entering the mandala and practicing? Thinking thus in the mind. Having thus explained the benefits of listening, in order to explain the ritual of the vase, the main part of the limbs of practice, it is said, "Gems, mustard seeds, durva, etc." Gems refer to precious gems, jewels, and so on. Mustard seeds refer to the king's mustard seeds. Durva refers to a certain special grass. Flawless jewels refer to the five kinds of jewels without flaws such as cracks. Accompanied by sandalwood refers to having fragrant things such as camphor. Crystal refers to an approximate indication of the aforementioned. Vajra flower refers to a blessed flower. With water, the word "fill" should be added. Gold or, vase, is the remaining part. Or, it is a word that shows other kinds. Silver vases are also acceptable, which means that those made of copper, etc., are also acceptable. Wrap with a clean cloth and fill, which means wrapping the neck of the vase with a complete clean cloth that is not damaged. Thus it is said, for whom it is done, combine the power of that thing itself, use a vase of gold, etc., with a large belly, a high neck, a wide mouth, and drooping lips, wash it clean, wrap the neck with cloth, and decorate the mouth of the vase with a fruit-bearing tree. Put in five kinds of jewels such as gold, five kinds of grains such as rice, five kinds of medicines such as bird droppings, five kinds of essences such as brown sugar, and fragrant perfumes, etc., and offer them according to the scriptures, and it will be as previously said. This is the meaning. Now, in order to explain for whom to bathe by showing the number of recitations, it is said, "Twenty-one times or." These are easy to understand. The king bathes frequently because the head is the top of the limbs. Or, it is done for the king himself, and this is only an approximate indication. Thus it is said, first is
