It is said that reciting the mantra a thousand times will lead to accomplishment, which indicates the ultimate limit. It should be recited until one does not become weary. Furthermore, in front of images of Vajrapani, such as those on walls and cloth paintings, one should offer correctly as described in the aforementioned practice method, making them pleased. By preceding with the practice of reciting the mantra on a mala a hundred thousand or a million times, there will be nothing that cannot be accomplished. Having observed the different desires of sentient beings, the Sugata taught the preliminary practices for the path to enlightenment. For the sake of those sentient beings in the degenerate age who are diligent but weak in intelligence, this lamp has been composed for the purpose of entering. One who possesses respect and faith in the guru, possesses compassion and wisdom, generates the immeasurable compassionate mind of the Great Vehicle's skillful means, has completed the empowerments, has obtained permission, and possesses vows, the hero should transmit the empowerment lineage to him. By pleasing the guru, one obtains the rays of nectar through love. Until the guru is pleased, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas bestow blessings for the sake of others. Relying on one's own strength, the practitioner records the substances taken and the meaning of the tantra. May one obtain the two types of accomplishments through the merit of labor! The commentary on the dharani of the "Noble Vajrapani in Blue Garments Ritual," called "The Lamp Illuminating Reality," composed by the teacher Nagarjuna, is completed. The Indian scholar Dīpaṃkāraśrījñāna and the Tibetan translator Gyatson Sengge translated it at the gate of Śrī Nalendra. The Dharani Commentary on the Noble Vajrapani in Blue Garments Ritual, by Nagarjuna.
