The Ritual of the Method of Accomplishment of Vairochana - The Light of the Victorious Ones The Ritual of the Method of Accomplishment of Vairochana The Light of the Victorious Ones ༈ This is the Ritual of the Method of Accomplishment of Vairochana. Homage to Manjushri, the Youthful One! In order to briefly explain the order of the ritual for the mantra practitioner who has received the samaya through the ritual of Vairochana, to remember the mantras arising from it, this is composed, and its order is as follows: First, one should strive to protect the samaya as it has been received, and the samaya is as follows: One should not denigrate the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and their mudras and mantras, and the supreme Dharma of the Great Vehicle, and the lamas who teach it. One should never abandon these, such as the Buddhas. One should always regard them as virtues with a very joyful mind, and one should strive to respect, offer, and please them as much as possible. One should also not denigrate all the noble Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and their Dharma, and the Khenpos and Acharyas, and other lamas, and those who practice the Vinaya of the Sugata, whether they are intermediate or newly ordained. One should also serve them according to the time and as appropriate. One should not have childish behavior or anger towards the deities and lamas. One should also not denigrate the worldly deities and so on. One should always protect the precious Bodhicitta, which is the root of all perfections, as one's life. One should also generate love and compassion for all sentient beings, and strive to avert harm to them. One should also be patient with the harm they have caused. One should always benefit sentient beings as much as possible with generosity of wealth, fearlessness, and Dharma, and therefore, one should abandon flattery from afar. One should not show mudras and mantras to those without samaya. Even to those with samaya, one should not show them without permission. One should be very careful not to drink alcohol, which is the root of all that is improper. In short, one should not do anything that is harmful to oneself and others; one should strive only to do what is beneficial to oneself and others. One should not sleep on a high bed, this is the samaya. After that, in order to be without obstacles and without long delay, in this very life

In order to eliminate sins and obscurations, and to accumulate the collections of merit and wisdom, having received from the guru any mantra whatsoever as it is, and having learned how to receive the mantra, in order to please the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, one should engage in the conduct of a Bodhisattva as mentioned above through the means of mantra. One should dwell in a secluded, non-turbulent, non-harmful, and suitable place such as a mountain cave, valley, or forest, which is especially excellent, or in a place where Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as noble Pratyekabuddhas and Shravakas reside, or in a monastery or house that possesses the qualities mentioned above. With a mind that has meditated on the four immeasurables, without being distracted by busyness, one should generate faith in the joy of Dharma, and with supreme intelligence, joy, and courage, one should not care about any harm, and one should happily abide with a virtuous livelihood. Having dwelled there, with a firm mind, one should rise in the morning and abandon all the retinues of enemies, and with the power of compassion, one should constantly think of liberating all beings. Whether one bathes or not, it is not definite. One should perform the inner bath, which is characterized by the virtuous conduct as proclaimed. On a clean ground, one should scatter flowers to create a mandala, and in front of it, one should place an image of the Buddha, a stupa, or any sacred Dharma text. Or, even if there is no image of the Buddha, etc., one should face east or north, and generate great joy towards the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, visualizing them appearing manifestly in the ten directions in accordance with their respective forms. One should purify oneself completely through the rituals of prostration, etc. The order of these is as follows: First, the mantra practitioner should touch the ground with the five limbs, generate reverence, and prostrate respectfully in this way: "I prostrate to all the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas, and the Sangha who possess the sacred Dharma, residing in the limitless realms of the ten directions, and to the Sangha of great Bodhisattvas." Then, placing the right knee on the ground, joining the palms, bowing down, and from the depths of one's heart, one should say: "All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, please pay attention to me. My name is"
