The Offering Ritual Pertaining to the Great Vairocana's Manifest Enlightenment, Auspicious Great Joy. The Offering Ritual Pertaining to the Great Vairocana's Manifest Enlightenment. Auspicious Great Joy. In Sanskrit: Mahāvairocana Abhisambodhi Sambodha Pūjā Vidhiḥ. In Tibetan: The Offering Ritual Pertaining to the Great Vairocana's Manifest Enlightenment. The fully enlightened Buddha with eyes like a blooming lotus. I prostrate to the one called Vairocana. I prostrate and explain the method ritual for the offerings of Vairocana's activities. How does the order of the mantra ritual proceed? How does one's own mind become stainless? Thus, this should be done in brief. There, first, to accomplish the benefit of oneself and others, And the supreme method of the highest attainment, And even though there are many methods to obtain it, One should generate the desire to obtain attainment. The supreme giver of accomplishing all purposes, The Buddhas and the supreme sons of the Buddhas themselves. The mantra method that has become their essence, And the mudras that abide in various forms, Especially the chief of the secret mantra methods, One should generate devotion to the vast vehicle. Depending on whether beings' faith is great, medium, or small, One should diligently and definitively show the ritual for obtaining it. The Victorious Ones, thinking of the meaning of protecting these, To the wheel-turning beings of the six realms, as appropriate, It must be determined that reverence precedes, And one should generate a joyful mind towards this. Then, also, in the supreme vehicle, One should know the ritual of taming through the practice of supreme mantras. Following the conduct of the Sugata's sons, And one should enter the way of the unsurpassed mantras. Having accomplished the accumulation of perfect union, Having received empowerment and subsequently knowing, And being solely devoted to accomplishing the benefit of others, When seeing the lama, one should prostrate with reverence. Generating respect and reverence as for the teacher, Viewing them as a virtuous friend and a supreme companion, Especially generating a special kind of faith, Pleasing them and then using their possessions. Out of affection, turning towards them, And pleasing their mind with service and veneration. Prostrating and requesting that protector to empower me, Granting me the supreme conduct of the Sugatas. With compassion and so forth, in the excellent mandala, The ritual.
